According to Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United has contacted Bayern Munich to discuss the terms of a possible loan of Mathys Tel, a teenager who is currently putting on a sensational performance.
It has been widely reported this month that Tel will be able to leave Bayern this month. Tel has requested to leave Bayern on the basis of having played very few minutes for Vincent Kompany’s team. The 19-year-old player is eager to make a move to a team that will provide him with more consistent opportunities to play.
At this time, it would appear that Manchester United has shown an interest in the possibility of acquiring the services of the forward.

According to Romano, Manchester United has reportedly discussed the’record-breaking’ Tel with Bayern Munich, requesting that they be kept informed of any potential conditions that may be associated with a loan move to Old Trafford. In order to fulfil their goal of acquiring Ruben Amorim before the transfer deadline on Monday, the Red Devils are working hard to make signings.
Both Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee have had a difficult time maintaining consistent form throughout the current season; however, both of them were extremely expensive signings overall. Since they are still young, they have a lot of time to grow and develop. Man United is, without a doubt, holding out hope that, in the long run, their investments will be profitable.
Tel is yet another promising young player who would provide Amorim’s team with additional options up top to support his attackers who are currently out of form. Although Tel has also had a difficult time in front of the net this season, the reason for this is more likely to be attributed to the fact that he has not played nearly enough minutes.
Man United, on the other hand, must be aware of the wider interest in the Frenchman, particularly from within the Premier League. It is believed that Chelsea is a fan of Tel, but Tottenham Hotspur is also a fan of him. If the reports are to be believed, Tottenham Hotspur may be much closer to securing a deal for his services than Manchester United at this point.
For Amorim, the acquisition of Tel would be a significant signing; however, in order to convince him to move to Old Trafford, the Red Devils will need to be as quick as they are persuasive.
