Steven Schumacher stated that he would like to bring Amario Cozier-Duberry back to Bolton Wanderers this summer.
The Brighton winger was on loan with the Whites last season and played a key role in the club’s promotion via the play-offs.
The 21-year-old scored eight goals and added 11 assists to help the squad finish seventh in League One.
The forward then scored in a 1-0 first-leg victory over Bradford City in the play-off semi-finals, securing their ticket to Wembley.
But he has now returned to the Amex Stadium, where it is unclear what the future holds amidst uncertainty about his future.
Cozier-Duberry is currently in pre-season with Fabian Hurzeler’s squad, but the transfer market is open until September 1.

Schumacher has stated that he would like to bring Cozier-Duberry back to Bolton for the following season after their promotion to the Championship.
However, he’s stated any trade will have to wait until late in the window, as he’s presently trying to earn his way into the Brighton squad for the year ahead, and any decision on his future will not be made right away.”Amario was unbelievable for us last year,” Schumacher told The Bolton News.

Cozier-Duberry joined Brighton in 2024 but has failed to penetrate into their first-team ambitions despite coming from the Arsenal academy system.
Before joining Bolton last summer, the winger was on loan at Blackburn Rovers, where he scored once in 22 league outings.

The 21-year-old was linked with a move to West Ham earlier this summer, but the move did not happen.
Jarrod Bowen is expected to stay at the London Stadium, which has undoubtedly contributed to their interest waning in recent weeks.
However, Brighton reportedly turned down Anderlecht’s £5 million offer for the winger.
Bolton’s current transfer strategy is to construct a team capable of competing in the Championship next season, with the goal of long-term survival.
Schumacher’s team has already signed six new players since the transfer window opened, including Luca Stephenson from Liverpool and Akin Famewo from Hull City.
Ben Davies, Gaizka Larrazabal, and David Watson all signed as free agents, while Kyliane Dong arrived on loan from Augsburg.
Bolton will kick off their league campaign at home against Preston North End on August 15 at 3 p.m.
Amario Cozier-Duberry’s signing would be important for Bolton.
Cozier-Duberry struggled when he last played in the Championship, but his loan spell with Bolton last year prepared him for the step back up.
It’s possible that he’ll play a role for Brighton this season, especially given how busy they are with European football, but it’s tough to see him playing a large role.
If the Seagulls decide to loan him out again, returning to the Whites would be a wise decision for all sides because he is already familiar with the club and can adjust fast.
Schumacher will want additions between now and the first game, but it will be worth the wait if they can get Cozier-Duberry in the last week or two of the window.
