Following their FA Cup victory over Spurs, Morgan Rogers and Jacob Ramsey of Aston Villa participated in an excellent post-match interview.
After Aston Villa defeated Spurs in the FA Cup, Morgan Rogers and Jacob Ramsey were praised for their responses to a question on Marcus Rashford.
Rogers scored Villa’s second goal in the second half, and Ramsey opened the score just one minute into the FA Cup fourth round after Rogers’ slaloming run.
On his full Spurs debut, Mathys Tel scored a late consolation goal, but Villa held on to win and go to the competition’s fifth round.
Both Marco Asensio and Marcus Rashford, who are on loan until the end of the season, made their Villa debuts in the second half and it was obvious they had something to prove by their performance.
When questioned about Rashford and other new players like Asensio and Donyell Malen in a combined post-match interview with the BBC, Rogers and Ramsey impressed with their composed answers.
“This is one of the best squads that we’ve had… the squad depth is unbelievable,” said Ramsey.
“You look at the bench tonight and all the experience—Asensio coming on, Rashford coming on, and Malen starting. The depth of the roster is incredible, and the starting players must step up their game right now because the new guys pose a serious threat.
Rogers responded, “We want to take what we can from the experienced players in the squad,” when asked if the new players are encouraging him to achieve greater things. Since we’re just getting started, it’s wise for us to benefit from what they’ve done. Having people like that in the door is enormous, and it motivates everyone.

Jermain Defoe said the pair’s responses will be “music to [Unai] Emery’s ears” as BBC pundits praised their speech patterns in the studio.
Villa is six points behind Chelsea in fourth place in the Premier League with 37 points going into the Champions League round of 16.
Rashford might make his Premier League debut in claret and blue when Villa hosts Ipswich Town on Saturday.
