Kurgen Klopp’s agent, Marc Kosicke, has spoken out in response to rumours that the German is being considered for the position of head coach at Real Madrid. This comes at a time when Carlo Ancelotti appears to be leaving the club this summer.
At the conclusion of the 2023–24 Premier League season, Klopp, who is now 57 years old, resigned from his position as head coach of Liverpool. Since then, he has not held a managerial position.
However, he is presently serving as the Head of Global Soccer at Red Bull, where he is responsible for overseeing the organization’s footballing setup.
In recent days, he has been connected with a transfer to Real Madrid. It has been widely rumoured that Ancelotti might be going to depart Los Blancos as soon as the end of this month. This has led to speculation that he could be leaving the club.
It would appear that Madrid is interested in acquiring the services of Xabi Alonso, the manager of Bayer Leverkusen, and Andoni Iraola, the head coach of Bournemouth, with Jurgen Klopp’s name also being discussed.
Yesterday, on Friday afternoon (April 18), Florian Plettenberg, who works for Sky Germany, sent an update through X.
“[There are] new rumours linking Jurgen Klopp with Real Madrid and Brazil,” stated Plettenberg. “Those rumours are circulating.”
“Jurgen is very happy with his new role as Head of Global Soccer at Red Bull,” his representative Marc Kosicke told us for Sky. “He is very happy with his new role.”
Please be aware that there is still a significant amount of interest and queries regarding Klopp coming from major clubs and a number of different federations.
On the other hand, Klopp has not yet made any plans to take on the job of head coach for the upcoming season, not even at Real Madrid or with Brazil. Alonso, Xabi, continues to be Real Madrid’s #1 priority.
I am curious in what Jurgen Klopp has to say about his comeback to management.
It was in March of this year when Klopp shared his opinions on the possibility of returning to managing management.
The German manager disclosed this information while attending the ten-year anniversary celebration of Hout Bay United Football Community (HBUFC), as reported by Kick Off. “The last thing I am actually thinking about is to be a manager again,” he said (quotes from Kick Off).
I was the coach for 1,081 games. I failed every single final that was accessible to me. I went on to win a few of them as well.
“As for myself, I’m not in a bad position at all.
It is not possible for me to be here today if I were not the manager of Liverpool Football Club. Therefore, we give thanks to God.
In January of 2024, Liverpool made the announcement that Jurgen Klopp would be leaving his position as manager. Klopp, who was 57 years old at the time, cited the fact that he was “running out of energy” as one of the reasons for his decision.
During the video of his departure, Klopp expressed his feelings by saying, “It is that I am, how can I say it, running out of energy.”
It is evident that I have no difficulty at this time; I have known for a longer period of time that I will have to make the announcement at some point, but I am completely OK at this moment. It is clear to me that I am unable to perform the task over and over again and over yet again.
According to the statement, “After the years that we spent together, after all the time that we spent together, and after all the things that we went through together, the respect that I have for you has grown, and the love that I have for you has grown, and the truth is the things that I owe you the least.”
