Following the viewing of Patrick Dorgu’s first game, Manchester United supporters have expressed their opinions on the player.
In the fourth round of the FA Cup, which took place at Old Trafford on Friday night, the Red Devils faced off against Leicester City, a team that was in danger of being relegated.
In the moments leading up to the match, everyone’s attention was focused on the defender Dorgu, who had recently joined the club after leaving the Italian club Lecce.
Instead of lining up on the left, as was expected, the Danish international positioned himself on the right side of the pitch, which caused United supporters to go into a frenzy.
Bobby Decordova-Reid scored the game-winning goal for Leicester in the 42nd minute, which came after the first half of the match at Old Trafford was a complete and utter disaster.
During the beginning of the second half, Ruben Amorim took everyone by surprise by removing Dorgu, who was making his debut, and replacing him with Alejandro Garnacho, an incredible player from Argentina.
United supporters have already formed their opinions regarding the 20-year-old player, despite the fact that they have only observed him for a period of forty-five minutes.
A fan expressed their opinion by saying, “Kid was our best player actually making runs?? If the kid is going to knock, then it is imperative that they do so.
A different individual tweeted: “Dorgu then arguably was our best player but gets hooked at half time and Dalot stays at LWB?”
A third supporter chimed in, saying, “Dorgu was good, right?”
Another individual wrote, “In point of fact, for a period of forty-five minutes, Dorgu was more dangerous than Dalot.”
A fifth individual stated: “He’s taken Dorgu off ,who was probably our best player in the first half even though he was playing at rwb instead of lwb.”
The following is a comment made by another fan: “I honestly don’t get what Dorgu’s been hooked for?” Was respectable and demonstrated some initiative. Also on the weak side of him.”
The Red Devils made a concerted effort to score an equaliser during the second half of the match, and they were finally rewarded with a goal in the 68th minute when Joshua Zirkzee scored a goal from close range to tie the score at 1-1. In the waning moments of the match, Harry Maguire scored a goal deep into stoppage time to ensure a crucial victory by a score of 2-1.
Next weekend, United will return to action when they play Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon. The match will take place the following weekend.
