Manchester United is running out of time to finish their January transfer business. So far this month, Ruben Amorim’s team has not added a single player to the first team.

Although Patrick Dorgu is nearing a £30 million transfer from Lecce, the 20-year-old was part of the team that defeated Parma 3-1 on Friday. Dorgu, on the other hand, was listed as a bench warmer and never used. According to reports, he is scheduled to visit Manchester this weekend for a medical examination.

There may be an emphasis on selling first, even though United might sign more players before Monday’s 11 p.m. deadline. Barcelona is the favoured destination for Marcus Rashford, who is the subject of transfer rumours. However, the United forward is currently out of favour at Old Trafford, and Aston Villa has entered the race to recruit him.

Individual request
According to The Athletic, Unai Emery personally asked Villa to try to sign Rashford from Manchester United. After saying he wanted to quit United and missing the last 12 games under Amorim, the 27-year-old’s future is in doubt.

Villa wants to recruit Rashford on loan, but he prefers to stay at United until the end of the season or make a “dream” move to Barcelona. And after losing Jhon Duran to Al-Nassr, Emery has seemed to be leading a possible move for Rashford, as the Spaniard is eager to include him in his team.

The cost of garnacho
In an effort to get rid of Alejandro Garnacho before the January transfer window ends, United has reduced their asking price. After initially seeking £60 million, United will now let the winger leave for £45 million, according to Corriere dello Sport.

Among the teams who have shown interest in Garnacho’s services are Tottenham, Napoli, and Chelsea. But as Monday’s 11 p.m. deadline draws near, it appears more probable that the Argentine will remain at Old Trafford until the end of the season at the latest.
