
Jamie Allen will depart Coventry City this summer.
The Sky Blues have revealed that the midfielder will leave the CBS Arena when his contract expires after seven years with the team.
Head coach Frank Lampard stated, “Jamie is a top player, a great man, and an incredible professional.”
“It’s been an absolute delight to work with him. He has had a significant impact at the football club, both on and off the pitch.
“He was instrumental in the last 18 months and in helping us win the championship this year.
“Thank you Jamie and I wish you all the best for the future.”
Doug King, owner and executive chairman, added: “In his seven years with the football club, Jamie Allen has made significant contributions to our success.
“Jamie has stepped up at every level, and his devotion and standards reflect the way we want to work at Coventry City FC.
“I wish Jamie every success in his next venture.”
Allen commented, “What a ride it has been. Seven years, two promotions with league titles, 200 appearances, and unforgettable memories.
“I can’t thank the fans enough for making me feel at home and treating me like a second family.
“We have experienced the nicest experiences together, and your support for me when I was going through a difficult time at the beginning of the year will never be forgotten.
“It’s been amazing and I’ll now be a fan for life.”
