Two Key PSG Players Banned For Club World Cup Final vs Chelsea

It has been announced that Paris Saint-Germain will be missing two of its important players when they play Chelsea on Sunday, dealing the team a setback ahead of the FIFA Club World Cup final. The 2025 season has seen the Ligue 1 winners in outstanding form. They easily won the French first division before defeating Inter Milan 5-0 in the final to win their first-ever Champions League.

They are now only one win away from taking home the FIFA Club World Cup in its new format. The only team standing in their way is Chelsea, led by Enzo Maresca. However, they won’t be very concerned because they have already defeated teams like Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, and Atletico Madrid 4-0, 2-0, and 4-0, respectively.

Having saying that, PSG will not have an easy time against the Blues. particularly now that it has been established that Luis Enrique would be missing two important players when they play in the championship match.

PSG Will Be Without Pacho and Lucas Hernandez Against Chelsea

The two remain suspended after their red cards in the quarter-final

PSG may be the finest team in the world based on their performance this season, but they will be without players when they play Chelsea since Lucas Hernandez and Willian Pacho are both suspended for the championship game. Both of the defenders were sent out during the quarterfinal triumph over Bayern Munich after receiving straight red cards.

The two will have to watch from the sidelines as PSG plays in the final on Sunday after receiving two-match punishments for their conduct against the Bundesliga winners. But on Wednesday, Enrique was without them against Real Madrid, and it didn’t matter because they thrashed Los Blancos 4-0.

Even though Joao Neves received his second yellow card of the competition against Madrid, PSG will be able to use him against Chelsea. Despite receiving two yellow cards throughout the campaign, which resulted in suspension, SportBible reports that the threshold was reset following the quarterfinals, making him eligible for selection.
