Norwich City experienced a spectacular turnaround following Philippe Clement’s hiring last season.
The Belgian took over a Canaries team that was firmly battling relegation, and it felt like the club was in turmoil, with fans understandably unhappy at some of the decisions taken by the management.
However, Clement quickly won over the players, and while Norwich did not make the playoffs, they did accumulate 56 points from 31 games, and that points per game would have them competing for the top two throughout the course of the season.
So Norwich go into the 2026/27 season full of optimism, however Clement will want full support in the transfer market because he knows the squad can be better.
It’s not only about transfer prices; Norwich must compete with their rivals on wages if they want to get the type of player they need.
Here are the top seven earners at Carrow Road as of today, based on Capology’s projections.
7Anis Ben Slimane – £20,000

The versatile midfielder joined Norfolk on an initial loan from Sheffield United a year ago, and he was one of many players who progressed under Clement’s coaching.
So Norwich signed Slimane on a permanent basis in January, and it proved to be a wise decision. The Tunisian international now faces the challenge of maintaining his form, and he hopes to play a significant role in Norwich’s promotion to the Premier League.
6Vladan Kovacevic – £20,000

The goalie was another signing last year, and the club saw it as a good deal, so it’s no surprise that Kovacevic is one of Norwich’s highest-paid players.
Kovacevic, like Slimane, improved following Clement’s hiring, and he will have profited significantly from his first season in England. As a result, he will be an important member of the XI in the future, as evidenced by his expected pay.
5Jakov Medic – £25,000

Medic was another addition last year, although he didn’t quite live up to expectations. As a result, some may be surprised to find him on our list, but the defender was seen as a significant signing at the time, and he would have received a high salary from Ajax.
Of course, these things happen in sport, but, while we must underline that these are estimations, you would expect Norwich to want to sell Medic this summer for financial reasons, and the player may be willing to go as well.
4Harry Darling – £25,000

Norwich spent heavily on recruitment last year, and Darling joined the club on a free transfer after his contract with Swansea City expired.
Darling’s experience in the Championship, combined with the fact that he did not fetch a transfer fee, meant he was always going to be paid well, but Norwich will still consider it a good investment.
3Kenny McLean – £30,000

The midfielder is a fan favourite at Norwich and has been a key player for the club throughout the years, including under Clement. As a result, the new manager was anxious to keep the midfielder, and new terms were agreed last month.
That was a bonus for Norwich, and McLean will undoubtedly be one of the club’s highest earners, as the captain is an important figure both on and off the pitch.
2Mathias Kvistgaarden – £30,000

Kvistgaarden was another addition last year, coming from Brondby following a successful career in Denmark. Unfortunately for the Canaries, he was unable to transfer that form to the Championship.
After paying over £7 million for the attacker, Kvistgaarden was always going to be paid well, and these estimations indicate that he is. Unfortunately, the 24-year-old had a difficult season, and he may be released this summer.
1Jack Stacey – £30,000

According to the projected estimates, Stacey is the third highest-paid Norwich player, earning £30,000 per week.
The full-back had previously played for Premier League Bournemouth before joining Norwich, and he, like Darling, was on a free transfer, which will have given him an advantage when negotiating his salary. Stacey has been a consistent performer for the club since his arrival, and that is expected to continue this season.
