Football is always on. There are 86,400 seconds in a day, and somewhere in the world, someone is doing something connected to football. They could be scoring the last-second goal in a big game, sharing their expert opinion on social media, or just kicking a ball against a wall with their friends.

As a result, no human being can keep up with everything that’s going on in the game. And it’s often the small but most interesting things that make football so great, like a fan’s different take on a penalty save, a three-second but incredibly telling exchange between two rivals, or a thread on X explaining why N’Golo Kante is the nicest man in professional sports.

That’s why GIVEMESPORT made our live blog, which has the best of what social media has to offer and the best football mini-stories from the last 24 hours.

Patrick Dorgu got a red card for a dirty challenge against Ipswich on February 26.
The Manchester United player had a terrible night.
Ipswich Town took an early lead against Manchester United thanks to a terrible mix-up that Patrick Dorgu helped cause. Things only got worse for him when he was given a red card just before halftime. The defender rushed Omari Hutchinson without thinking, and while he wasn’t given a red card at first, he was sent off after a VAR review.

When Dorgu was fired, United had already turned things around after the early goal and were ahead 2-1. But Philogene tied the game with his second goal of the night soon after the player was sent off, and the new defence may cost his team in the end.

26 February: Ipswich start the game ahead of Man United after a terrible mix-up
Jaden Philogene made money off of the mistake.

At Old Trafford, Manchester United played Ipswich with the goal of getting back to winning ways. But they were behind after only four minutes because of a terrible mistake in defence. The ball was played over the top, and it looked like new player Patrick Dorgu would stop the danger without any trouble.

When the Danish defender tried to pass the ball back to Andre Onana, he had no idea that the Cameroonian custodian had run out of his goal to deal with the threat himself. Philogene had an easy time getting the ball into an empty net after Dorgu’s back pass got past his custodian.

26th February: Didier Drogba Backs Jose Mourinho The legendary Chelsea player sends an emotional tweet backing up his old boss.

Didier Drogba wrote an angry tweet in support of Jose Mourinho, who used to manage Chelsea. Mourinho is now the head coach of Fenerbahce, and Galatasaray said that he made racist comments after Monday’s 0-0 draw between the two Turkish giants.

This is what Drogba, who played for Galatasaray for a season, wrote: “Dear GalatasaraySK. I was so happy to wear the yellow and red jersey, and I love the club that has won the most awards in Turkey! We all know how fierce and emotional battles can get, and I’ve been lucky enough to see it for myself.

“I saw what was said recently about Jose Mourinho. Believe me when I say that Jose is not racist. I’ve known him for x years and records from the past and present show this. Let’s pay attention to our games, cheer for our great lions, and win the league to get closer to our 5. How could my “Dad” be racist? “All right, guys.”

24th February: Neymar stops fans from booing with “Olimpico”
The Brazilian player keeps doing great things for Santos.

Neymar put on a great show for Santos against Inter de Limeira, showing that he’s still got it. The 33-year-old has had a good start to his time back at the club, and on Sunday night, he scored a goal and set up two others. His goal came in the 27th minute, and it was pure magic because he scored from a corner kick.

The home fans booed the Brazilian as he walked to the corner to take the free kick. After that, Neymar tricked the other team’s custodian while his corner kick went into the goal. After that, he made sure to look at the people who were booing him as he praised his clever work.

Neymar has scored two goals and set up three others in his first six games back at Santos. Some people thought Neymar was past his prime, and while that may be true, he’s still pulling out all the stops in his home country.
