Stoke City transfer cut short after manager exit as new deal is instantly agreed, adding another twist to the developing situation.

Syd Agina’s loan to Forest Green Rovers has been cut short.

The 19-year-old defender has joined another National League team, Tamworth, on loan until November 1.

Agina joined Forest Green Rovers on loan in July, with the contract likely to last until January.

He made four league starts during his time at The New Lawn.

Stoke City’s £5 million transfer has more than tripled in value.

Eric Bocat’s part in Stoke City’s rebranding and the crucial relationship

His loan ends just one day after Robbie Savage departed Forest Green to manage Peterborough United.

A Stoke City statement read: “Stoke City under-21s defender Syd Agina has joined teammate Gabriel Kelly on loan at National League club Tamworth.

“The 19-year-old full back, who earned his first senior cap for Kenya in the summer, made four appearances for Forest Green Rovers in the first month of the 26/27 season and has now joined the Lambs until November 1.

“Tamworth face a trip to Hartlepool United this afternoon as Andy Peaks’ side seek to build on a 2-0 win against Sutton United in midweek, a fixture in which Kelly made his senior debut as a second-half substitute.”
