Sheffield Wednesday releases latest updates to quash fears over Henrik Pedersen’s exit following Danny Röhl news.

Sheffield Wednesday are planning a busy summer as they prepare for their return to League One, with Henrik Pedersen charged with securing rapid promotion.

The Owls have had a difficult time under Dejphon Chansiri’s ownership, but with David Storch in control, the future seems considerably brighter at Hillsborough.

Away from South Yorkshire, former Wednesday manager Danny Rohl has been making headlines as he appears to be closing in on a move to his hometown with RB Salzburg.

If he makes the move to the Austrian club, he will undoubtedly try to bring some familiar faces with him, but will he be reunited with his old assistant?

Could Danny Rohl sign Henrik Pedersen from Sheffield Wednesday?

After Rohl left Hillsborough, his deputy Pedersen took over at Sheffield Wednesday, although he has struggled to make an effect due to the turbulence off the pitch.

The Austrian finally took over at Rangers, following the dismal Russell Martin, and transformed the Glasgow club into a serious title contender before falling apart in the closing weeks of the season.

Despite barely being at Ibrox for eight months, the Austrian has apparently accepted to become RB Salzburg’s new manager, with Hearts’ Derek McIness set to replace him.

Patrick McKenna, a Sheffield Wednesday fan, expressed confidence that Rohl would not return to his former club and attempt to replace Pedersen as assistant manager.”With Danny Rohl joining Red Bull Salzburg, I don’t think there is a chance he will come in for Henrik Pedersen,” the source told Football League World. The events of last summer, when Danny left, returned, and left again while Henrik stayed, may have negatively impacted their relationship. It appears that Pedersen was irritated when Rohl returned to take the managerial position he thought he had been given, only for Danny to leave again.

So, while they functioned well while Danny Rohl was in charge on Wednesday, Henrik Pedersen took over. The new owners have guaranteed him the opportunity to manage Sheffield Wednesday under normal circumstances, so he will be eager to demonstrate his abilities.I don’t believe you have any plans to quit Sheffield Wednesday. I only know that Henrik will be leading the team into the next season, and it’s time for all Wednesday supporters to rally behind him. He’s not going to leave to work for Danny Rohl.”

Why would Pedersen be prudent to stay in Hillsborough?

Linking up with his previous employer may be enticing for Pedersen, but the reality is that he has the opportunity to restore one of England’s finest football clubs, something he just cannot pass up.

Given what happened at Wednesday last season, the 48-year-old is still unknown as a manager, and quitting now would deny him the opportunity to establish himself as the main man.

The Owls are currently in a much better position under Storch, and with the club stable, the Dane has the opportunity to establish his own team and brand of play in South Yorkshire.

With the team moving to League One, expectations will be considerably greater, but if Sheffield Wednesday can get their summer signings right, they should be a serious contender for promotion.

On the other hand, RB Salzburg is a footballing powerhouse in Austria, and with Rohl at the helm, they are anticipated to fight for the title and qualify for the Champions League.

However, for a guy who has long lived in Rohl’s shadow, it would be surprising if he left his post as main man to once again defend his old employer.
