Sheffield Wednesday have renewed hope for the new season after being purchased by David Storch’s Arise Capital Partners.
Wednesday were punished 18 points previous season and finished last in the Championship with zero points, resulting in their relegation to League One.
However, increased investment at Hillsborough presents an opportunity to make an impression in the transfer market this summer as they seek to return to the second tier as soon as possible.
Henrik Pedersen has already signed Swansea City defender Ricardo Santos to his team, while deals for Sil Swinkels, Tayo Adaramola, and Callum Slattery are all expected to be completed soon.
So far this summer, Henrik Pedersen’s team has been linked with a variety of players, with some rumours particularly exciting. They are now apparently aiming to sign two Championship goalscorers.
Wednesday plans moves for Championship forwards.

According to the Sheffield Star, Sheffield Wednesday have listed Blackburn Rovers’ Japanese striker Yuki Ohashi as a summer transfer target, as well as Wrexham offensive midfielder Davis Keillor-Dunn and promotion rivals Leicester City.
Ohashi moved to Lancashire from Sanfrecce Hiroshima two years ago and has 20 goals and five assists in 86 games at Ewood Park. The 29-year-old has also earned two caps for Japan.
Ten of those goals were scored last season as Blackburn avoided relegation by five points, and new manager Tony Mowbray will be aiming to shape the squad he has inherited into his vision as the summer progresses.
Ohashi now has one year left on his contract with Rovers, and it is unclear how much Wednesday would have to pay to tempt the striker away from Blackburn.
Meanwhile, Keillor-Dunn made only six Championship games for Wrexham following his mid-season switch from Barnsley last season. However, the 28-year-old has shown to be a successful League One player, scoring 31 goals and providing six assists in 66 league outings for the Tykes during his season-and-a-half at Oakwell.
Wednesday demonstrated ambition in the transfer market.
