Norwich want to sign Poland wonder Filip Luberecki, and the transfer fee is revealed amid contract situation.

Norwich City and QPR are among the Championship clubs looking to sign 21-year-old full-back Filip Luberecki this summer.

The defender has impressed with Motor Lublin and Poland’s Under-21 team, and the asking price is expected to be approximately £850,000 plus bonuses.

Luberecki will have one year left on his contract this summer, with possible suitors eager to take advantage of the lower price.

This season, the left-back has made 31 appearances in Poland’s top division, Ekstraklasa, helping Mateusz Stolarski’s club avoid relegation.

The 21-year-old is expected to play in the Championship next season, with several clubs interested in signing him.

On Tuesday, Football Insider exclusively revealed that Norwich are interested in Jay Smith-Sway, a right-back who played on loan at Hartlepool last season.

The Canaries are eager to act decisively in the transfer window as they seek to build on an ultimately successful Championship season.

Norwich faced relegation at the start of the season, losing 11 of their first 16 games before finally winning after Philippe Clement was appointed.

The Belgian former Rangers manager signed a contract until 2029 and led his team to an incredible comeback, eventually bringing them within eight points of the play-offs.

Carrow Road’s decision-makers have already made several exciting additions, including Mohamed Toure, and they hope to expand on them this summer.

Luberecki might be one of the first pieces of the puzzle, but the Canaries will have to contend with competing interests.

Luberecki shed light on transfer offers.

Luberecki claimed in a 2025 interview with Weszlo that he has already had offers and plans to play beyond the Ekstraklasa season.

“I’ve already had offers from abroad, and I know that the ceiling is higher than the Ekstraklasa,” he said. “I’d like to see where that ceiling is now and reach the greatest height imaginable.

“So that I don’t look back on my career and wonder what I could have done better. “The worst thing in life is to let a gift go to waste.”

Norwich may be the ideal springboard for those big goals, since there is plenty of ambition at Carrow Road.

In Clement, the young left-back would be joining a manager who has a track record of nurturing young players in a group full of them.

The promising Kellen Fisher finished the season for the Canaries as a left-back, but the 22-year-old is anticipated to revert to his natural right-back position next season.
