Norwich City have had a solid finish to the season under Philippe Clement, but it has not been enough to propel them into promotion contention.
The Norfolk team has climbed back into the top half of the second division standings.
However, with only three games remaining, an eight-point difference to sixth-place Hull City has practically ruined their dim hopes of finishing in the top six, while they are still mathematically in contention.
The team will now focus on the summer transfer market, with the goal of making a stronger push for promotion the following year.
Here’s the most recent news from Norwich…
Norwich City asked to adopt Harry Amass’ position.

Norwich secured a loan deal with Manchester United in January to bring Harry Amass to Carrow Road, but injuries have limited him to just one appearance since then.
However, the Canaries have been linked with a new loan transfer for the defender ahead of the summer window.
When asked about his prospective re-signing, FLW’s Norwich fan pundit Zeke Downes said he would be open to returning.
However, he would want to properly monitor the youngster’s ailment before consenting to any trade, since the club does not need another left-back concern next season.
“I would be interested in this,” Downes told FLW.
“The only difficulty is that he suffered a serious injury, so it will be determined how he recovers.
“If we can monitor it and see how his condition is closer to the start of the season, that could be a nice thing to do.
“He certainly possesses a lot of talent.
“There was a reason we got him in the first place, and I believe all of our January signings, with the exception of him, performed admirably, so I would have expected him to do the same.
“I would be up for it, but we don’t want another left-back who is always injured, so we will have to monitor how he will be and if he can get back to what he was.”
QPR is also allegedly interested in the Manchester United defender.
Lorent Tolaj’s Plymouth escape strategy amidst Norwich interest

Norwich are among the clubs rumored to be interested in signing Plymouth Argyle forward Lorent Tolaj this summer.
Pilgrims manager Tom Cleverley has highlighted the forward’s potential departure, claiming that the club has gotten no contact from rival clubs about a deal.
The League One coach feels Tolaj is loyal to the Devon club, and he expects any prospective sale to be expensive considering his role to the team.
“Neither my nor (Argyle Director of Football) Cleverley told Plymouth Live that Derek Adams’ phone had received calls, but agents are likely working in the background.Tolly has not shown any desire to leave the football club, and his work ethic and competitive attitude demonstrate his passion for Argyle even before discussing ambitions.Obviously, he is one of our greatest players, so he will elicit some interest and inquiries.
“Every team in the country would love a striker that can turn a draw into a win in the blink of an eye, and those do cost a lot of money.”
Tolaj has produced 17 goals and five assists in 30 League One games for Plymouth this season.
Johannes Hoff Thorup tells up about Norwich City regret.

Former Norwich manager Johannes Hoff Thorup has stated that his major regret from his time at Carrow Road was the lack of continuity among his coaching staff from Nordsjaelland.
The Dane failed to complete a full season in charge after being fired in April, and he believes he should have retained more of his prior coaching staff in order to succeed.
“[My coaching staff] was vital. Thorup stated on the SK Rapid podcast that he learned from Norwich to prioritize the players when joining a new club. However, you must also educate all of the staff members your concepts so that they understand how I work, what my daily routines are, how we organize training sessions, how we execute them, how we provide feedback, how we work with injured players, how we work with rehab players, and all of these other topics.
“How goalkeeper training works, how we deal with set pieces, and I can’t do it all by myself.
“I need someone around me who understands how I and we function, and who has been a part of it.
“Actually, more is preferable.
“But I also think it is important when you go into a new club not to bring all of your own staff, but to see who is already there and find out who is interested in working in a slightly different or new way.”
Norwich City is advised to avoid signing Lorent Tolaj.

When asked about the possibility of signing Tolaj in the summer, FLW’s Norwich fan analyst Downes stated that it is not a position that need quick improvement this summer.
He believes that the club should concentrate on other areas because there will be too many possibilities in attack, even if Mathias Kvistgaarden leaves.
“If we can make it happen, then sure, but it’s not really a position of need,” Downes said to FLW.
“It’s probably the position we don’t need to consider at all, along with centre-back, because we have three attackers who want to start games.
“I think if Kvistgaarden left, which would be unfortunate, but I could see it happening because he doesn’t really suit Clement’s style of play; I think he’s the right player at the wrong time.
“But, if that happens, we may look for another striker, preferably a younger one who does not expect to play every game, like Makama and Toure do.
“So, if we end up selling Kvistgaarden, this may be a nice one, but we also have Ante Crnac, who can play as a striker or winger and will be back in the fold next season.
“So, I can’t see there being too many minutes for another striker.”
