The managers of Manchester United will write to the Premier League to voice their concerns regarding their altered kickoff time versus Crystal Palace.

United is incensed at the league for forcing them to play Palace in London on the eve of the Bank Holiday next month. Due to TV scheduling, Premier League officials have set the game for May 6 at 8 p.m.

Because the game ends too late, out-of-town fans will not be able to catch trains back to Manchester that evening. Furthermore, the English powerhouses have charged that the League disregards its supporters.

“We would like to let you know that we will be requesting in writing to the Premier League that match-going fans be given more weight when scheduling fixtures with broadcasters.

“We are happy to be able to provide free coach travel to supporters traveling from Manchester to Selhurst Park in order to show our appreciation for our traveling supporters, in collaboration with our partner Adidas. I am so grateful for your amazing help.”

With a game left to play, United is still in the running for Champions qualification, despite being 11 points behind fifth-place Aston Villa. If that were to happen, there would be an eight-point deficit to close in six games.
