Liverpool fans in disbelief at Michael Oliver decision after new angle emerges

.

Following the viewing of an angle of Everton’s controversial late equalizer in the Merseyside derby, loyal supporters of Liverpool have expressed their outrage.

Everton captain James Tarkowski scored a controversial goal in the final minutes of the match, which resulted in a 2-2 draw. This was the final Merseyside derby that was ever played at Goodison Park.

Initially, the goal was checked for offside, and then later, it was checked for a possible foul in the buildup to the goal. However, the goal was ultimately awarded, resulting in a tie between the two teams in terms of points.

On the other hand, after the game, Liverpool supporters have taken to social media to voice their anger and disbelief after seeing a new perspective of the goal.

Almost immediately after the game, a screenshot from the video assistant referee (VAR) check was uploaded to the internet. The screenshot appears to show Everton’s first goalscorer Beto heading Liverpool defender Ibrahima Konate, preventing him from possibly clearing the ball before Tarkowski smashed it in.

In response to the photograph, one of the fans wrote, “Thought it was a nailed on foul on Konate tbh, was never likely to be given in the circumstances like but still.”

whereas another player admitted that it was a foul, but they never anticipated that it would be turned over.

Additionally, another individual wrote: “Look it won’t change the result but again I don’t care what any1 says it was a foul on konate simple.”

Even a supporter of Manchester United, Mark Goldbridge, expressed his opinion, saying, “Definitely pleased with that Everton goal, but even as a United supporter, that’s a foul on Konate.” When you do something like that, you can’t just shove someone out of the way of the ball.

A short time after the dramatic late goal, Everton midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure ran over to the fans of the opposing team in order to make fun of them for the fact that their team had let the victory slip away.

Consequently, this prompted Curtis Jones, a player for Liverpool who has been a fan of the Reds ever since he was a child, to get into a heated argument with his rival. As a result, both players were shown a second yellow card, which means that they will be unable to participate in their subsequent matches.

Both Liverpool manager Slot and assistant manager Sipke Hulshoff were shown red cards for their reactions to the drama that occurred after the match. As a result, they will not be present in the dugout for Liverpool’s home match against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday.
