Wrexham will attempt to rebound from their narrow FA Cup defeat at the hands of Premier League giants Chelsea when they return to league play on Tuesday evening.
Phil Parkinson’s side will face Hull City, another promotion-chasing squad, in what promises to be a highly exciting and fiercely contested match.
Wrexham are now sixth in the Championship table entering into this match, with Hull just three points ahead of them in fifth position.
There is minimal space for error for either team, with Southampton and Derby among the teams chasing Wrexham and Hull down in the race for the playoffs.
Wrexham have been in terrific form lately, winning their past three league games, the most recent of which was a 1-0 triumph over Charlton Athletic at The Valley in late February.
Hull, on the other hand, hasn’t been at their best recently and comes into their match with Wrexham off the back of two defeats against Ipswich Town and Millwall, which will be troubling for the club’s supporters at such a critical time of this year’s league campaign.

Parkinson emphasizes the importance of the Hull clash.
In a recent pre-match press conference, Wrexham manager Phil Parkinson commented on the importance of the game versus the Tigers, describing it as a’really exciting night’.
Parkinson commended Hull for the quality of Wrexham’s opponents and revealed what he told his players before the encounter.I told the guys that this is our time to bring a club back into the pack, if you will, and we’re going all out to do it. “It’s an exciting night for us to meet a team that is similar to the Ipswich League game in terms of magnitude.”We have to gaze up as well. That’s the goal. We need to get into the pack above us, and this affords us the opportunity to do so. We need to get a grip of the squad and peer over their shoulders. There are two good aspects. Anyone who’s up there at this point in the season clearly deserves to be.”
“We will be ready”: Wrexham boss fired Hull caution.
Parkinson expressed his desire for the home audience to support his team once more during this crucial week.Hull City has played in the Premier League before. “We will be prepared at 7.45pm for an exciting night.”It’s an excellent game. The football team began a crucial week on Saturday, with stage two scheduled for Tuesday. Let’s see where it goes.Hull may pass up opportunities, but they do create. It’s about us and the fans showing up again, which I’m confident they will.”
A win for Wrexham would put them ahead of Hull on goal difference in the second-tier standings, and if Parkinson’s passionate message has reached his players, it promises to be an intriguing tussle.
