Arne Slot will likely take over as Liverpool’s manager in place of Jurgen Klopp, even though Sporting coach Ruben Amorim is also being considered.
For two main reasons, Liverpool reportedly gave up on hiring Sporting Lisbon manager Ruben Amorim.
Since Jurgen Klopp declared his intention to step down at the beginning of the season, the Reds have been searching for a new manager. The early favorite to fill the position, Xabi Alonso, pledged his future to Bayer Leverkusen, his current club.
At that point, Amorim was thought to be the front-runner to join; however, it has since been revealed that Arne Slot has agreed to a compensation package with Feyenoord. Journalist Melissa Reddy of Sky Sports claims that there were two main reasons for this call.
“He had met a lot of the requirements to be considered for the short list, but the main issue was that his approach to playing was very different,” she stated. His preference for playing with three at the back doesn’t really work with Liverpool’s roster or their comfort level in that situation.
“[Amorim’s] long-term goals were at odds with Liverpool’s culture. Keep in mind that Liverpool plays in the same manner across all age groups, so you don’t want to interfere.”
Although Amorim is no longer in the running, Klopp, who is leaving, gave Slot his blessing. I think it’s great that he wants to take the job, if he’s the right person. Really. is in a desperate situation. “Come on, let’s attempt it.” Thrilled,” he uttered.
“I enjoy watching his football team play. Everything I’ve heard describes him as a decent guy. I don’t yet know him, but some people I know do.
I’ve heard from some that he’s a really nice guy. That is really nice. Good guy, good coach. awaiting the club’s decision on whether he is the man or the solution. I couldn’t be happier. Although it’s not my place to judge, I think everything sounds excellent.
