In the midst of rumors of Marcus Rashford leaving Manchester United for Arsenal, Bruno Fernandes has stated his position. This season, the England international has fallen out of favor under Erik ten Hag, which has increased speculation about his departure.

Rashford was a standout player for United in the 2022–2023 season, contributing 40 goals from 56 games; this season, he has only managed 13. Ten Hag brought Rashford back into the starting lineup for the FA Cup final on Saturday against Manchester City, and the 26-year-old contributed to the team’s 2-1 victory at Wembley.

Rashford started the attack with a brilliant cross-field pass to Alejandro Garnacho, setting up United’s second goal, which was dutifully dispatched by Kobbie Mainoo. Rashford recently reached a noteworthy appearance milestone, and in celebration, he posted on social media.

“To say that I have played 400 games for United is a unique feeling. Regards,” Rashford posted on Instagram. After that, Fernandes retorted, “400 more to come.” The captain of United made a remark that seems to indicate he wants Rashford to stay at the club and find his best form again.

Following the FA Cup victory, the United academy graduate shared another picture on Instagram. “People want to know what Man United means to me!” he wrote alongside a picture of himself in action. [Heart-shaped red emoticon].”

Though Mikel Arteta is keen to get players back to their peak, a move to Arsenal is not out of the question if Rashford does decide to move on. This was demonstrated by the £65 million transfer of Germany international Kai Havertz to North London following a turbulent season at Chelsea, where he finished the campaign with 15 goal contributions in 14 league games.

Arsenal is unlikely to pursue such high-profile deals again, given that the Rashford transfer was a part of a massive summer spending spree of £200 million. United is expected to demand a hefty price, but they have already stated that they will consider offers for the player, according to The Telegraph.

Former midfielder Emmanuel Petit has urged Arsenal to move for Rashford. “I am aware of Kai Havertz’s tremendous improvement at Arsenal, but it’s hard to predict if Arteta could have the same effect on Rashford should he join the team. But there’s no denying that Rashford needs a fresh start, and Arsenal might be the ideal fit for him,” he stated.
