Fabio Celestini Handed Major Burnley Boost as Josh Cullen Footage Emerges.

In just his first few days in command, new Burnley manager Fabio Celestini has gotten a significant boost.

The Clarets have posted video of midfielder Josh Cullen returning to duty for the U21 team following a lengthy injury layoff on their official X account.

Due to an anterior cruciate ligament injury, the Irishman was substituted out of a 0-0 tie against Everton in late December of last year.

The 30-year-old was named club captain after playing a significant role for Burnley in recent years.

Last season, he played in all 18 of their Premier League games and contributed two goals and two assists. In the second part of the season, he was greatly missed.

Celestini was only named head coach this week after Nicky Hayen was fired following the team’s 4-1 loss to Lincoln City last weekend.

Josh Cullen gives Fabio Celestini a lift

A montage of Cullen participating in training and playing in the most recent Premier League 2 match versus West Ham was shared by the Championship team on X.

As he continues his journey to rehabilitation, the midfield player started against the underage Hammers team and played for 45 minutes before being substituted.

It’s unclear when he’ll get his first chance back in the starting lineup, but it might happen in the coming weeks.

Cullen might aim for the Lancashire derby match at home against rivals Blackburn Rovers, which is the first game back following the November international break.

After Vincent Kompany was appointed manager, the Ireland international joined the Clarets in the summer of 2022.

After working together at Anderlecht, he moved to Turf Moor with the Belgian, and in the years that followed, he has grown to be an important member of the team.

Burnley supporters’ thoughts on Josh Cullen’s impending return

Burnley supporters are dissatisfied with their present team and are hopeful Cullen may return soon to raise the bar.

Fabio Celestini is greatly aided by Josh Cullen’s comeback. After a very disappointing start to the season, Celestini will face challenges at Burnley.

Because of his lack of experience in English football and the disastrous decision to bring in Nicky Hayen, supporters are dubious about this appointment.

However, the Swiss coach will benefit greatly from Cullen’s return to training because he will need a player of his calibre in the side to turn things around.

Even though he may not play for Burnley for a few more weeks, it’s still encouraging to see him back on the field after such a long absence.
