Despite some rumoured connections to Rob Edwards, West Ham United does not intend to replace its manager as they attempt to recover from their loss to Southampton when they play West Brom this weekend.

At the London Stadium on Saturday, Nuno Espirito Santo’s team lost 3-2, ending their nine-game winning streak in the Championship.

The Hammers are now in third place in the standings, three points behind Middlesbrough.

In light of this, rumours about Nuno’s future as manager surfaced, but they were quickly disproved as the Irons seek promotion with the Portuguese manager.

Rob Edwards’ comments are refuted by a West Ham insider.

An insider at the London Stadium has denied rumours that West Ham had made a move for Rob Edwards, who was fired by Wolves during the summer, according to Claret & Hugh.

This development comes after Football Insider reported that the Hammers had contacted Edwards, who rejected Burnley’s overtures this week.

The source calls the Claret & Hugh study “complete and utter nonsense” and rejects those recommendations.

“I don’t know where these reports have come from,” the source continued, emphasising that regardless of the loss to Southampton, the Hammers are not seeking a new manager.

The management of West Ham is pleased with Nuno Espirito Santo.

According to the newspaper, Daniel Kretinsky, a shareholder at West Ham, is reportedly pleased with Nuno’s performance and believes the 52-year-old is not under any pressure.

Having moved up to the Premier League with Wolves in 2018, Nuno has prior experience in this league and is familiar with the Premier League.

He has led both the Old Gold and Nottingham Forest to Europe straight after promotion in one case and a relegation struggle in the other, so even though things have not always gone as planned since his arrival, he cannot be written off.

The Hammers are far from playing at their best this season, so there are issues to deal with. They are ranked third, though, and the leadership is reportedly in favour of the former Forest and Wolves manager.

You can rely on Nuno to get West Ham’s promotion bid moving forward.

West Ham were the clear favourites for promotion going into the season due to their prolonged stint in the Premier League, and this shouldn’t alter even though they are currently behind both Middlesbrough and Swansea.

With the exception of a derby match, every other team in the division looks forward to playing the Hammers.

Despite having a difficult time adjusting to life in the second division, the East London club is still ranked third, demonstrating the strength of their team.

As previously said, Nuno has already made it to the Premier League, and he is currently very much in the running to do so once again.
