In light of the uncertainty surrounding the future of Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho, Manchester United is reportedly contemplating making a late move to acquire Mathys Tel, a forward who plays for Bayern Munich FC.
Due to the fact that Rashford has fallen out of favour under Ruben Amorim, there is still a possibility that he will leave United before the transfer window closes on February 3.
The victory over Fulham that United achieved on Sunday was the eleventh consecutive game that Rashford has missed for the club. Immediately following the final whistle, Amorim expressed to the media that he would prefer to play Jorge Vital, the club’s custodian coach, who is 63 years old, rather than Rashford.
There are a number of potential suitors who have expressed interest in Rashford; however, his enormous salary, which is greater than 300,000 pounds per week, is preventing any arrangement from being finalised.
On the other hand, Chelsea and Napoli are showing a significant amount of interest in Garnacho. Although Chelsea is considering making a bid for him, Napoli have already had at least one formal offer turned down by United. Chelsea is currently considering making a bid.
As a result of concerns regarding his role in Amorim’s preferred 3-4-3 formation, it is believed that the Argentine is open to the possibility of leaving Old Trafford.
If either Rashford or Garnacho decides to leave United, it is almost certain that the club will have to find a replacement for them in order to guarantee that Amorim will not be lacking in the attacking department for the remainder of the season.
The Red Devils are reportedly keeping an eye on Tel, as stated by Florian Plettenberg.
According to a report that was published on X by a reporter from Sky Germany, “Understand Manchester United considering entering the race for Mathys Tel in the event that Alejandro Garnacho or Marcus Rashford depart to pursue other opportunities.”
Following Tel’s decision to leave FC Bayern before the deadline day, the following is stated:
“The race is open. However, Manchester United and other teams are extremely well informed.
It was Fabrizio Romano who was the one who broke the news that Tel has made the decision that he wants to leave Bayern before the winter transfer window closes.

In addition, Chelsea is a fan of Tel, who made history by becoming Bayern’s youngest-ever goalscorer when he opened his account for the Bundesliga giants at the age of just 17 years and 126 days.
To this point in the season, the 19-year-old has participated in a total of thirteen matches across all competitions, but he has only managed to record one assist during that span.
