Burnley will soon be prepared for life in the Championship after their relegation from the Premier League was confirmed last week.
A 1-0 defeat to title contenders Manchester City secured the Clarets’ relegation to the second division alongside Wolves, marking the club’s second successive swift drop from the top flight.
Questions will be raised about whether Scott Parker is still the right man to lead the Lancashire club forward after failing to achieve survival, with his future seen to be in jeopardy.
Burnley now has four games remaining in their Premier League season before preparing for a Championship campaign in 2026-27, thus the challenge will be to maintain a squad together that is capable of sustaining another promotion drive.
Of course, as with any relegation from the Premier League, some first-team players may be hesitant to stay at Turf Moor and assist the Clarets stem the tide, with some believing their performances merited a return to the top tier with another team.
Forward Zian Flemming, who has had an amazing personal season when leading the line, might make that dream come true.
The former Millwall frontman has nine Premier League goals this season, a more than respectable total given his role in a club devoid of attacking flair and imagination.
Liam Delap at Ipswich Town was another player who went on to make a significant move away from a relegated side, joining Chelsea the previous summer after scoring 12 goals for the Tractor Boys as they were relegated to the second tier in the 2024-25 season.
With this in mind, FLW’s Burnley fan commentator has remarked on whether the Clarets should be concerned about top-tier clubs from England and Europe coming in to sign Flemming.
Burnley encouraged to seek £15 million to £25 million for Zian Flemming.

According to Football League World, Burnley fan analyst Josh Lucas feels the Clarets should demand a sum of between £15 million and £25 million for forward Zian Flemming, especially given his impressive performance for a struggling Premier League team.
Josh told FLW: “Yeah, Zian (Flemming) is a big worry, especially given that he has nine goals in a team that hasn’t scored many goals and has very little attacking threat.”
“Don’t get me wrong, Zian is certainly a number 10, but he’s done so well as a number nine this year, and if you can score ten goals in your first Premier League season, you’re obviously a fantastic striker.
“I can see Fulham, if (Raul) Jimenez leaves, or possibly Crystal Palace, someone like that, so he’s definitely one to keep an eye on, and I’m sure many Burnley supporters will be concerned.
“For me, we should be searching for between £15 million and £25 million.
“He did only score nine goals so we can’t be asking for £30 million plus, so £15 million to £25 million is probably a fair deal.”
Zian Flemming deserves to remain in the Premier League.

Zian Flemming is one of the few Burnley players who can go away with his head held high after a difficult season.
To score nine goals in his debut Premier League season, especially in a Clarets side that has battled to create in the final third all season, is an incredible feat, and he has earned the opportunity to see if the goals can continue to flow in a far superior top-flight squad.
There will undoubtedly be a lot of interest in the Dutchman as a result of his heroics, but the 27-year-old will be reluctant to return to Championship football after demonstrating his ability to succeed at the highest level.
The advantage for Burnley is that any sale should result in a profit on the original £7 million amount they paid for him, with those extra finances crucial for their summer transfer window as they seek to rebuild a squad capable of returning to the big time.
While losing Flemming will be a huge setback for the Clarets, he is deserving of such an opportunity, and the goal now is to ensure this isn’t a one-off season in terms of goalscoring.
