Barry Bannan, Adam Armstrong, and Tyler Dibling were among the players that responded to Shea Charles’ goodbye message to Southampton fans.
The midfielder has officially left the Saints in a deal worth a staggering £30 million.
The Championship side will receive £26 million upfront, with a further £4 million in add-ons included in the agreement.
Charles joined Hampshire from Manchester City in the summer transfer window of 2023, and he made 63 regular league appearances for the team during that time.
He also spent time on loan at Sheffield Wednesday, where he appeared 43 times in the league and helped the Owls reach 12th in the table in 2024-25.
However, the Northern Ireland international has already signed a five-year contract with Fulham to play in the Premier League.

Several of Charles’ former teammates have commented, including Bannan, who wrote, “What a player, it’s your time mate, go kill it.”
Armstrong also said, “What a player and even better person!” All the best, huge dog.”
Meanwhile, Dibling shared a couple of love heart emojis, while Charles received a lot of love for reaching the next step in his profession.
Charles received numerous accolades for his achievements with the Saints, and he was especially valuable in the second half of the season.
The 22-year-old helped Tonda Eckert’s team climb the Championship table and qualify for the play-offs.
While the Saints were eventually unable to gain promotion, Charles earned his way into the Premier League.
