Given that Newcastle is expressing a keen interest in signing Aaron Ramsdale, it appears likely that Ramsdale will leave Arsenal this summer. Ramsdale has only made two Premier League appearances since David Raya’s arrival in October, both of which came against Raya’s loan team Brentford. Ramsdale lost his starting XI spot after Raya arrived.
Newcastle is currently leading the race to sign the England international, despite Chelsea being linked to a move for him during the January transfer window. Even though the summer transfer window isn’t opening for another few weeks, Ramsdale has made a lot of statements about his future and has even provided an update.
Although Mikel Arteta might not want to let go of the 26-year-old, his need for playing time on the first team might be too great. Nick Pope, an England teammate who works for the Magpies, has struggled with multiple injuries and is not getting any younger at the age of thirty-two.

£15 million relocation
The Ramsdale asking price for Arsenal is currently unknown, but Newcastle seems to have ready their opening bid. The Telegraph reports that Newcastle is reportedly offering Ramsdale a five-year contract in exchange for a payment of about £15 million.

In response to rumors that he had struck a deal to join Newcastle, Ramsdale seemed to make a vague statement on social media.
He posted on X, the former Twitter platform, saying, “News to me [laughing face emoji].”
‘Agreement’ in Newcastle
James Green, a reporter for Sky Sports, discussed the Ramsdale situation and the proposed agreement with Newcastle while appearing on The Highbury Squad. Green remarked, “I understand that Aaron Ramsdale has committed to joining Newcastle in the summer.”
That came directly from someone talking to a close friend of mine who is close to his agent, and he said the deal is done and going forward.
To be honest, I don’t think many Arsenal supporters will be surprised by that. He was too good to just sit there and be a backup goalkeeper; I believe the writing was on the wall. It was inevitable.
