A fresh Bristol City transfer update has been revealed, with a new twist emerging in the Dom Ballard situation as Michael Skubala reacts.

In an attempt to finally reach an agreement for the prolific attacker, Bristol City has made Leyton Orient a new offer for forward Dom Ballard.

Alan Nixon claims that the Championship team has offered the former Southampton striker up to £5 million.

The Robins have reportedly already had several offers turned down for the Leyton Orient forward this summer, but there is still doubt about his future with the League One team.

In order to strengthen their forward options for the upcoming season, the Championship team has already signed Lorent Tolaj from Plymouth Argyle. However, their summer business may not end there, as a new offer for Ballard has now been made.

The 21-year-old’s contract with the O’s expires in June 2028, but the team has a one-year option.

Ballard may have played his last game for the East London squad after helping Richie Wellens’ team finish 20th in League One last season with 23 goals and four assists.

Amid remarks from Michael Skubala, Bristol City makes an offer to Dom Ballard.

Leyton Orient has reportedly accepted the player’s exit this summer after the Bristol team reportedly made a £5 million offer.

Additionally, it is claimed that Emil Riis’s future at Ashton Gate is now questionable as the club seeks to collect money for their summer expenditure due to Ballard’s potential arrival.

Michael Skubala, the head coach of Bristol City, stated on Monday night that Ballard is not a Bristol City player and that it is improper for him to discuss the idea of signing him.According to the BBC, the 43-year-old coach stated, “He’s not our player.”Therefore, I shouldn’t talk about it.”

According to the Bristol City manager, the team is making a lot of effort to strengthen several aspects of the roster, but they may approach the transfer window in a variety of ways because of his flexible style of play.

“There are parts of the field, but once more, my style of play is very flexible, so we approach it in a variety of ways,” Skubala continued.

Ballard left Southampton for Leyton Orient last summer after the O’s lost to Charlton Athletic in the play-off final, barely missing out on promotion.

Even though Wellens’ team found it difficult to stay competitive, the forward was an important addition to the team.

With just three points separating the London team from the bottom three, he scored 23 goals to help the team avoid relegation to League Two.

Dom Ballard’s proposal appears to be the next step in Bristol City’s summer operations.

Earlier this summer, Skubala was named head coach when Roy Hodgson left the position temporarily.

The 43-year-old moved to their new Championship foe after leading Lincoln City to the League One championship the previous season.

Additionally, Tolaj from Plymouth, defender Lisav Naif Essat, and versatile attacking midfielder Sam Greenwood have all joined the Robins since he took over as head coach.

Gibson Yah and Sam Tickle signed for fees, and Jed Wallace and Brad Collins joined as free agents.

On August 15, Bristol City will play their first league game at home against Millwall. However, the transfer window is still open until September 1 to complete all transactions.

Bristol City may still consider signing Dom Ballard.

Bristol City would have to spend a lot of money to recruit Ballard and Tolaj in the same summer, especially since it won’t be cheap either.

If they can transition from League One to the Championship with ease, pairing the two has a lot of potential.

Additionally, it appears from this most recent offer that Skubala is eager to pair the two, which, if they click, could be a very deadly combination.

If this transaction goes through, Ballard, who is still only 21, will have plenty of time to mature even if he starts out lower in the hierarchy than Tolaj. Given the scale of the bid, Orient may now be helpless.
