West Ham United F.C. have dropped a fresh hint that Jarrod Bowen could remain at the London Stadium.

West Ham are at the outset of a truly tense summer transfer window, as they try to keep their top performers from returning to the Premier League.

The Hammers have returned to the Championship for the first time in 14 years, and throughout their recent, lengthy top-flight stint, they have achieved multiple European finishes and subsequent success in various tournaments, culminating in the UEFA Conference League triumph in 2023.

As a result, the possibility of playing in the second tier may not appeal to the bulk of Nuno Espirito Santo’s squad, particularly those with European experience. Nonetheless, West Ham will do everything they can to keep those talents, particularly Jarrod Bowen.

The West Ham captain has been the club’s face for nearly six years, contributing to over 100 top-flight goals at the London Stadium and scoring the winning goal in the Conference League final against Fiorentina three years ago.

Bowen is clearly a Premier League-quality player, but given his long-standing relationship with the club, the fact that he turns 30 later this year, and West Ham’s large profits from player sales outside of him, there is some hope at the London Stadium that their talisman will stay ahead of their Championship return.

West Ham give a massive Jarrod Bowen hint in their kit reveal.

West Ham cranked up their pre-season preparations on Thursday morning by releasing their new home kit for the 2026/27 campaign. The promotional video on their X account hinted at a little more than just what their kit will look like next season, though.

A limited number of people were seen modelling the shirt in the video, and at the front and centre of it was Bowen, with a pretty expressionless look on his face. Nevertheless, having him present is a stronger cause for optimism than how he may appear wearing it.

If the 29-year-old was actively investigating a move away from West Ham this summer, there’s a good probability he wouldn’t even be included in promotional footage.

The film also features Tomas Soucek, who pledged his devotion to the Hammers in an Instagram post earlier this week, so if the Czech midfielder is staying and appears in the video, Bowen may also be.

At the very least, there are no immediate signals that Bowen will leave West Ham, which can only be a good thing for the club. Their captain has made 280 appearances at the London Stadium since his arrival in January 2020, scoring 85 goals.

How West Ham fans have responded to Jarrod Bowen being in the kit unveiling.

The reaction of West Ham fans to seeing Bowen in their new kit ahead of the 2026/27 season has been varied.

Some see the disclosure as a sign that he is staying, while others believe the writing is on the wall for the 22-cap England international’s Hammers career.

“BOWEN, MAGASSA, SOUCEK, KYLE WALKER PETERS, POTTS, BASICALLY ALL CONFIRMED STAYING,” one fan exclaimed, while others speculated with a sense of optimism rather than assurance. “Does this mean Bowen is staying?” was one of the responses to the West Ham post.

Other fan feeds reported seeing Bowen in the new kit reveal. West Ham Central wrote on X, “OFFICIAL: JARROD BOWEN IN THE 2026/27 HOME KIT👀,” and fans responded with their ideas.”He looks very happy,” one fan said, referring to Bowen’s expressionless face. “Doesn’t look happy, Jarrod,” added another.

Finally, seeing a player in a kit reveal does not guarantee that he will be around for the entire season. Last season, Southampton’s kit reveal included James Bree, Will Smallbone, and Yuki Sugawara, all of whom were loaned out that summer.

However, having him appear indicates a stay at the London Stadium far more than not having him involved in the reveal. It may not change anything about his departure, but it has given Hammers fans renewed optimism that their captain will stay for the Championship.
