Norwich City is looking for a new wideman this summer, but they may miss out on one of their main targets.
Norwich were among the top Championship teams in the second half of the season under Philippe Clement. In 2026, only Southampton picked up more points than the Canaries, who collected 44 in 22 games.
Indeed, if not for a catastrophic start to the season under Liam Manning, when they were second from bottom before Clement arrived in mid-November, Norwich could easily have returned to the play-offs this season.
Now, the Canaries are about to begin their fifth consecutive second-tier season, the longest they’ve been in the division since a nine-year stint from 1995 to 2004, but there is hope that a strong transfer window will allow them to return to the Premier League.
Norwich City may miss out on Largie Ramazani, as Valencia accelerates discussions for Leeds United winger.

Norwich were considering bringing former Championship title-winning winger Largie Ramazani to Carrow Road this summer to assist improve their wide options ahead of what many observers expect to be a promotion-challenging season for Philippe Clement’s team.
Since joining the Whites for €11 million from Almeria in the summer of 2024, the Belgian has battled for playing time in England.
Ramazani played fewer than 800 minutes on Leeds’ title-winning team and did not start a single league game in the second half of the season. Despite that, he still ended the term with six goals and a couple of assists. With greater playing time, many believe he has the potential to be the 10 to 15-goal-per-season winger that top-two contenders covet.
The 25-year-old has spent the past year on loan at Valencia, where he has failed to get regular appearances in La Liga. However, the 11 goals he scored all came in a row between February and May, when Carlos Corberan’s side rocketed up the league after facing relegation threats. Again, he ended the campaign with six goals.
Norwich were always going to compete with Los Murcielagos for Ramazani’s permanent contract this summer, as the Belgian does not appear to be in Daniel Farke’s plans, and Tribuna Deportiva believes the Canaries will lose the battle.
Valencia CEO Ron Gourlay has apparently flown to England to promote some moves, one of which being with Leeds over Ramazani’s transfer.
With the Whites apparently demanding a £10 million price to balance what they spent on the Belgian in the first place, according to the Pink Un, it appears that the Spanish top-flight side will have more financial backing to complete a move than Norwich.
Norwich City will be dismayed at the recent Largie Ramazani discovery.

Ramazani’s electrifying performances in short bursts during his previous Championship season would have piqued Norwich supporters’ interest.
But, it looks as if the 25-year-old could be continuing his career in the top-flight for a Valencia side who will have a return to European football in their sights after a few difficult years battling relegation or languishing in mid-table.
Meanwhile, the Canaries will seek to shift elsewhere. Reports from the end of May linked Frosinone’s Fares Ghedjems, Lille’s Ichem Ferrah, and Charlotte FC’s Liel Abada with a move to Carrow Road, but Philippe Clement was not placing all of his eggs in one basket.
And, given Norwich’s success with their January arrivals in the Belgian’s first window as head coach, with the likes of Mohamed Toure, Paris Maghoma, and Ali Ahmed all looking very promising, there will be hope that whoever is appointed as the new winger will hit the ground running.
The Pink Un went on to say that the Canaries are willing to pay a “significant fee” for a right-sided wideman this summer, indicating that they are still ready to make a move to strengthen their attacking output.
But, right now, it doesn’t seem like Ramazani will be the man for Norwich.
