Manchester United player Bruno Fernandes is expected to be approached regarding a stunning summer transfer, a new report has claimed.
With 19 goals and 15 assists across all competitions this season, United captain Fernandes has been a vital member of his team.
His most recent goals came during United’s 3-0 victory over Athletic Bilbao on the road, which has given them a significant lead going into the second leg of their Europa League semifinal matchup.
Given the 30-year-old’s recent performance and United’s current 15th-place Premier League standing, he has been linked to a move this summer in the event that the Old Trafford team misses out on Europe the following season.
La Liga powerhouses Real Madrid and Barcelona are reportedly interested in signing him, but manager Ruben Amorim previously snubbed any transfer rumors. Now, however, a new club is reportedly involved. Saudi Arabian journalist Abdullah Al-Hunayan claims that Al Hilal, a member of the Saudi Pro League, has discussed a potential transfer with Fernandes’ agent and attorney prior to the June 14 start of the Club World Cup.

Saudi Arabia’s only participation in the competition is Al Hilal, who won the AFC Champions League in 2021.
Former Premier League players Joao Cancelo, Ruben Neves, and Aleksandar Mitrovic are among their playing ranks; the latter two play alongside Fernandes for Portugal on the international front.
When deciding whether to submit a bid, journalist Paco Gonzalez previously told Spanish publication Cadena COPE that Real valued the midfield player at approximately £90 million. The United captain has two years remaining on his deal.
Therefore, it is likely that United would demand a far higher price if a club did show a genuine interest in selling him, assuming they were even thinking about doing so.
In April, Amorim made the following statement regarding the midfielder’s future: “No. [A transfer] is not going to occur.
“We need the best players if we want to win the Premier League again, so I want Bruno here. He’s not leaving.”
“I think he is truly content here, and we have complete control over the issue.
“Everyone may think that a captain’s impatience is a bad thing, but it’s also an indication that he wants this [winning] so much. I’ve already told him, so he won’t be leaving.”
