Man Utd fans have done a full u-turn and owe one player an apology after performance vs Lyon

In response to the performance of one player during Manchester United’s thrilling victory over Lyon at Old Trafford, fans of the club have expressed their sense of regret.

Ruben Amorim guided Manchester United to a victory over Olympique Lyonnais in the Europa League on Thursday night, which served as a season-defining victory for United and secured their spot in the semi-finals of the competition.

They were forced to dig deep and come back in a highly dramatic period of extra time, with the final score being 5-4. After goals from Manuel Ugarte and Diogo Dalot that sealed United’s place in the first round, it appeared that United were coasting to victory. However, they were forced to dig deep and come back in order to win.

Following the conclusion of the contest, supporters of United rushed to various social media platforms to express their joy. A significant number of them expressed regret and lauded a particular player who had performed very well during the vital encounter.

United has had a terrible season, and it is very inevitable that the Red Devils will finish the season in the Premier League place that is the lowest it has ever been since the league began in 1992. It is reasonable to conclude that United have had another terrible season.

In light of this, the only chance for Manchester United to secure a spot in the Champions League for the next season is to win the Europa League. This places a significant amount of pressure on the match that will take place on Thursday in Manchester.

Dalot, a Portuguese defender, was one of the players that responded well to the pressure that was being applied to them. He delivered the greatest performance of the season against Lyon.

A single supporter merely scribbled, “I apologise to Diogo Dalot” in response to the match being played.

Another supporter made the following observation: “Dalot on the right is so much better my word.”

Another person responded, stating that they have always supported him and making the following statement: “I find it mad how people criticise him, he is always available and consistent for us.”

There was another person who concurred, adding, “I am overjoyed for Dalot.” Over the past few weeks, his performance has significantly improved. When he was played on the left side of the field, despite the fact that that was not his position, he received a great deal of criticism.

Following a 2-0 victory at home over Rangers and a 0-0 draw in the first leg of the match in Glasgow, United will play Athletic Club in the semi-finals of the competition when they face Athletic Club.

On the first of May, the first leg of the match will be played, and the second leg will take place one week after the first.

At the Estadio de San Mames in Bilbao, United will face either the Dutch team FK Bodo Glimt or Tottenham Hotspur, who will compete against each other in the other semi-final. If United are successful in reaching the final, they would face either of these teams.
