Man City fans want Micah Richards stripped of ambassador role after what he said live on-air following Man Utd’s FA Cup defeat

Considering the comments that Micah Richards made on the radio following Manchester United’s loss in the FA Cup, supporters of Manchester City want him to be removed from his role as an ambassador.

By virtue of their victory in the penalty shootout at Old Trafford on Sunday, Fulham eliminated the current holders of the FA Cup, Manchester United, from the competition.

There are only a few teams left in the competition, and one of them is a traditional “Big Six” club in the form of Manchester City. They secured their place in the quarterfinals by defeating Plymouth Argyle, who are the team that Liverpool defeated.

Following the announcement of the FA Cup draw, former Manchester City defender Richards made a comment that was met with less than favourable reception on social media by fans of the club.

He made the following statement: “It’s very open… what a chance for a team to go and win it now… all of the ‘big teams’ available now.” Obviously, Manchester City is the most formidable team that is still in the running.

The comment he made about “big teams” infuriated Man City supporters, and some of them want him to be removed from his position as club ambassador.

One X user submitted the following: “Petition to strip Micah Richards of the ‘club ambassador’ role and hand it over to someone who actually cares about Manchester City.”

On live television, Micah Richards just made the following statement, according to a second person. To tell you the truth, I’m sick of this guy.

“In my opinion, Micah Richards made a mistake earlier, and I do not believe that he was necessarily saying what he is being accused of,” said a third person. On the other hand, it is an error that he really ought not to be making in his role as our club ambassador; he is currently digging himself a hole with every single word that he utters.

“I absolutely despise Micah Richards,” proclaimed a fourth person. It is unclear how he is still permitted to represent us.

An additional participant said: “I must’ve forgot that the team that wins 4 in a row can’t be classed as big.”

Due to the fact that they were eliminated from the Champions League over a month ago, the FA Cup is the only opportunity for Manchester City to win any kind of trophy this season.

Bournemouth is the destination for the Blues, who are looking to secure a spot in the semi-finals. The Blues last won the trophy during their treble-winning season.
