3 players that will follow Sydie Peck out of Sheffield United has been revealed

Sheffield United’s season has not started as well as they had hoped after finishing 13th in 2025/26.

While their results have not been as bad as they were a year ago, the Blades are already out of the automatic promotion places after only 11 games.

Chris Wilder’s club has been uneven, winning four, drawing three, and losing four, leaving them two points behind the play-off places in the Championship standings despite a 1-0 victory against Bristol City at the weekend.

This is their third year back in the second tier, and another failure to get to the top flight may leave players like Sydie Peck wondering about their future at Bramall Lane.

The midfielder is a key figure for the Yorkshire club, and his good performances are sure to pique transfer interest again, especially because he will enter the final year of his contract in 2027.

Peck already has West Ham, Brentford, and Nottingham Forest interested in a transfer, which might result in a solid bid as early as January unless their circumstances improve dramatically over the following few months.

While he stayed during the summer, the longer Sheffield United remains unable to compete for a return to the Premier League, the more likely it is that the 22-year-old will quit the club.

Here’s a list of Sheffield United players who may leave the club in the near future.

Ollie Arblaster

Ollie Arblaster, like Peck, is a Sheffield United fan favourite, having come up through the club’s academy system.

The 22-year-old has faced with injury concerns in the past, but now has the opportunity to cement his place on the team as a crucial part of Wilder’s plans.

However, if the Blades fail to compete for promotion this season, there could be substantial demand in his services in 2027.

The midfielder has established himself as a potential young player, and he is still only 22, so he is sure to attract a number of suitors if a move away from Bramall Lane becomes a reality.

Michael Cooper

Michael Cooper joined Sheffield United in 2024 after they were relegated from the Premier League, and he has been an important member of the team ever since.

The goalkeeper played a key role in the club’s 2025 play-off final and has made 88 league appearances since signing from Plymouth Argyle.

The 27-year-old is presently in the prime of his career, and he is playing admirably for Wilder’s team, making 3.09 saves per 90 minutes at a 70.8 percent rate this season.

Cooper has the joint-second most clean sheets in the first 11 games, and his proactive play off his line has made him a valuable asset for the Yorkshire club.

If Sheffield United fails to secure promotion, it should not surprise the club if he attracts interest during the transfer window.

And if the Blades fail to make the playoffs in 2026/27, the option to move up to a top two contender, or even a Premier League team, may be quite appealing.

Harrison Burrows

Harrison Burrows has had a difficult start to the season, with an injury keeping him out of play for several weeks.

But the full-back has been a standout for the Blades since joining from Peterborough United in the summer of 2024, with 10 goals and seven assists in his first two seasons.

Last summer, the 24-year-old was linked with a move to West Ham and Burnley, but nothing came of it.

And if Sheffield United fails to compete for promotion again this season, Burrows may consider leaving Bramall Lane.
