Sheffield Wednesday is undergoing a huge makeover of their first-team roster ahead of the 2019 League One season.
The Owls are now under new ownership after Arise Capital completed their takeover of the Yorkshire club at the start of May.
The group lead by David Storch has been fairly proactive in making big changes behind the scenes, such as appointing a new CEO and sporting director.
Simon Wilson has taken over as head of recruitment, and he has already helped bring in seven new signings in the transfer market.
This includes the return of Millwall’s Barry Bannan, as well as the arrivals of players such as Louie Barry, Jordi Liongola, and Ricardo Santos.
Harry Grey has also arrived on loan from Leeds United, and there could be more activity between now and the September 1 transfer deadline.
Sheffield Wednesday’s George Dobson Interest

The Star stated that George Dobson is another prospect on Sheffield Wednesday’s radar this summer.
Last season, the Wrexham midfielder appeared in 40 games for Phil Parkinson’s Championship team.
And it’s believed that a deal with the Red Dragons is doubtful at this point, with the path to a transfer being difficult.
While a number of moves are now being considered as part of the Owls’ squad rebuilding, it is understood that their interest in the 28-year-old has been put on hold for the time being.
Sheffield Wednesday may, however, revive their interest in signing him later in the transfer window.
Any deal for Dobson is expected to be competitive, as the midfielder has sparked interest from a number of Championship sides.
Last season, the midfielder scored two goals and assisted twice in the league, helping Wrexham finish seventh.
It has also been claimed that Nathaniel Chalobah is back in training with Sheffield Wednesday after his contract expired.
However, it is understood that the arrangement is mutually advantageous, allowing the 31-year-old to remain sharp while looking for a new club.
Cameron Dawson is also participating in the Owls’ pre-season training, but a move to the first team squad for the upcoming season is not in the cards right now.
Pedersen’s side will open the new League One season on August 15 with a trip to play Leyton Orient.

Sheffield Wednesday’s deal for George Dobson demonstrates their desire.
Dobson was a consistent starter for a side chasing promotion to the Premier League last season, making a move this summer difficult for the Owls.
However, the fact that they haven’t fully given up on a possible deal with Wrexham demonstrates their ambition as Arise Capital.
If the 28-year-old becomes available, they will undoubtedly face significant competition for his signature, and a move appears unlikely at this point.
However, it is a healthy indicator that Sheffield Wednesday are considering all of their transfer possibilities, including prospective deals that may be out of reach in current transfer market.
