Ruben Amorim fumes at Man Utd flops after ignoring him in ‘unacceptable’ Brighton loss

Following their humbling 3-1 loss to Brighton on Sunday, Ruben Amorim gave the impression that his Manchester United players had not taken his counsel into consideration. This comes after the players made mistakes that they have made in the past.

Ruben Amorim, the manager of Manchester United, criticised his players for their “unacceptable” 4-1 loss at home to Brighton, who he confessed were “comfortable” at Old Trafford. Amorim said that the result was “unacceptable.”

Before late heroics from Amad Diallo helped them overcome Southampton 3-1 in the middle of the week, the Red Devils appeared to have turned a corner after a valiant 2-2 draw against league leaders Liverpool earlier this month. However, by the time they faced the Seagulls, they were well behind the pace.

Yankuba Minteh was able to tap in with ease after Kaoru Mitoma sprinted free, then Bruno Fernandes tied the score from the penalty spot. Before that, United were at their wit’s end early on in the game. Following that, Mitoma scored a goal to make the score 2-1, then Georginio Rutter added a third goal on a miserable afternoon for the club.

United is now 13th in the Premier League standings and is closer to the bottom three than they are to the top four. The squad has already lost ten matches, which is the quickest they have reached double figures for defeats since the 1989-1990 season.

After the game, Amorim was in a huff, and he said that his team had repeated mistakes from past games by “suffering goals where we cannot suffer.”

“Another defeat at home,” she said. The manner in which we were unable to achieve our aims is not acceptable, he stated. We are able to play some football, but it is only in short bursts of time, which means that it is not constant, and we feel worried, which ultimately leads to us conceding a goal. Once more, at the beginning, there is a single play that is obviously what Brighton does the most. Then it will be quite challenging to make things better. We have a great deal of anxiety and nervousness, and now they are feeling much better.

“The Brighton were in a relaxed state. We made an effort to get back into it, but our football was not very good that time. When you watch this game, you will be reminded of Bournemouth and Nottingham Forest, two teams in whom we were also involved in the game and suffered goals that we were unable to endure. Therefore, it is quite challenging for everyone. Again, we were defeated at home, and this is not acceptable. We need to make a change, and we need to do it quickly.

Andre Onana, the custodian for United, made a terrible error when he ran out to receive a low cross but then fumbled it, which ultimately allowed Rutter to easily tap the ball into an open goal. This made United’s loss even more difficult to bear.

In spite of the fact that Amorim did not make any attempt to protect the Cameroonian custodian, he argued that the team could not afford to conclude a match in such a manner. He did not dwell on the blunder for an excessive amount of time.

“In the stadium, I believe you were able to feel it. However, we cannot finish the game in such a manner. Due to the fact that everyone is out of position, we will need to find an alternative strategy to conclude the game. We need to be a different squad in every way, regardless of the outcome of the game.

The reaction that Amorim provided when asked if United’s troubles would continue was eye-opening. He conceded that the squad will “suffer” while they adapted to his ways, which was a remark that opened my eyes.

“That is not a question,” he stated. The reason for this is that I am not going to alter the way that I view the game. That is evident to me in every way. Unfortunately, the fans are going to suffer as well as the athletes. I apologise for the inconvenience. I have one method of doing things, and I am confident that it will bring about the desired outcomes. However, we are obligated to endure these situations. At this point, I believe that everyone is aware of what it is that we are going to do.
