In a furious X-rated rant about Bruno Fernandes, Roy Keane lost his composure and exploded on Ian Wright. He was furious about the situation.
Keane and Wright joined Gary Neville, Jamie Carragher, and Jill Scott in the most recent episode of Stick to Football, which was brought to you by Sky Bet. In this episode, they discussed the most important talking points from the Premier League action that took place over the past weekend.
Keane, a former captain of Manchester United, did not pull any punches when he clashed with Wright in his most heated punditry moment ever. This caused Keane to bring up the impact that Fernandes had as the captain of Manchester United.
In response to Keane’s criticism of his former team’s response to their 2-2 draw at Everton, Wright defended Fernandes by saying that he was a “f**king imposter.” Keane’s comments were received by Wright, who defended the Portuguese player.
As Wright stated that Fernandes has been’saving’ Man United this season, he made reference to Fernandes’ strike against Everton.
The response that Keane gave was that he mentioned the position that Manchester United currently holds in the Premier League table.
“Bruno’s a talented player, but talent is not enough,” he exclaimed with enthusiasm. “Talent is not enough, Wrighty!”
After that, Keane made a reference to Tony Adams, a former captain of Arsenal, and asserted that Adams was a “fighter” in contrast to Fernandes.
He continued by saying, “You have young players in the dressing room… you have to look at somebody and say, ‘I like what he does.'”
“But you want someone’s going ‘lads are you with me?'”
Wright persisted in his defence of Fernandes, arguing that “But maybe he’s not that captain… but what he’s doing in respects of… saving you, playing that pass, and the goal.”
“If Bruno’s not there.. United are in the relegation places!”
The argument between Keane and Wright continued until the Irishman got up from his seat to demonstrate that he was close to closing down.
“Allow me to share with you something: when you shut someone down… when I refer to them as a bluffer… this is what I refer to as a bluffer… I’m going to close you down, but I’m not really going to close you down, and then you’re going to pass it off… f**k off!
Throughout the course of this season, Fernandes has participated in 38 matches and scored 10 goals through all competitions.
Frequently, he has been the saviour of Manchester United, as Wright mentioned earlier.
In spite of this, Keane is not convinced by the influence of the thirty-year-old.
