Ousmane Dembele has been declared the 2025 Ballon d’Or winner.
Several of the world’s top football players received important prizes on Monday night at the Theatre du Chatelet in Paris, France, marking a momentous occasion.
Dembele won the men’s 2025 Ballon d’Or after having an incredible season with Paris Saint-Germain, winning both Ligue 1 and the Champions League.
The Frenchman took the stage to claim the prize after a brief exchange with runner-up Lamine Yamal.
Dembele stated: “I am a little stressed to be honest,” following the presentation of the prize by fellow Ballon d’Or winner Ronaldhino. I can’t believe that one of the greatest legends of all time has given me this honour.
“The collective deserves this award. All of my teammates deserve my gratitude.
“My dream club, FC Barcelona, has my gratitude. I also want to thank Lionel Messi, with whom I played, for teaching me a lot. being able to play beside Lionel Messi. He has taught me a great deal.
“I’m grateful to Deschamps. Hopefully, we’ll also win the World Cup!
“I would want to thank Eure, my hometown. I return whenever I have the opportunity. My neighborhood’s residents have supported me up to this point.
