Norwich City’s Championship season has been a nightmare thus far.
Norwich entered the current season as one of the promotion favourites, following a successful second half of last season under Philippe Clement, but they have yet to live up to expectations.
Philippe Clement is under increased pressure from Norwich City following the Portsmouth defeat.

Norwich were in the relegation zone when Clement arrived at Carrow Road last November, but they were one of the Championship’s best teams by the turn of the year, finishing ninth in the table.
The good finish to last season fueled excitement among Canaries fans entering into this season, but Clement’s team is currently at the bottom of the table as their terrible start continues.
Norwich suffered their fifth consecutive league defeat on Saturday, losing 1-0 at home to Portsmouth thanks to Marko Milovanovic’s 51st-minute penalty.
The Canaries’ latest setback places them 21st in the Championship table, one point above the relegation zone, and while Clement appears to be in command for Saturday’s trip to Charlton Athletic, some fans are losing faith in the Belgian.
Norwich City urged to contemplate the audacious Thomas Frank swoop.

When asked who he would want to see replace Clement if he is fired, FLW’s Norwich City fan pundit Zeke Downes said that he does not anticipate the club to make a managerial change right away, but he suggested that former Tottenham Hotspur head coach Thomas Frank may be an intriguing alternative.
Frank led Brentford to promotion to the Premier League via the play-offs in 2021 before establishing them in the top division, and his outstanding near-seven-year tenure at the Gtech Community Stadium earned him a move to Tottenham last summer.
Frank was sacked in February after winning only 13 of 38 games at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, leaving the club 16th in the table. Zeke believes the Canaries should consider bringing him to the Championship.Zeke told FLW, “I don’t really know because I can’t see Clement being fired.””If he is, I’m not sure who I’d bring in to replace him.”I don’t see too many possibilities out there.
“I’d say Thomas Frank would be the perfect guy, but I don’t think he would drop down into the Championship right now.””Hiring a player with experience and promotion from the league would be a wise decision.”He may want to work with some Danish players, so it is something that could happen, but I do not see Clement getting fired anytime soon.”
Norwich City may face Thomas Frank’s stumbling hurdle in the Philippe Clement conundrum

Rather than returning to management in the summer, Frank chose to take a long hiatus after leaving Spurs, leaving the door open for a Championship team to launch an audacious bid for the Dane.
FLW exclusively revealed that Frank was on Birmingham City’s radar earlier this year, but while his status has dropped following his disastrous tenure at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, the 53-year-old’s next post will undoubtedly be in the Premier League or another European top flight league.
With Frank likely out of reach for Norwich, there aren’t many appealing choices on the market, which might mean Clement spends more time at Carrow Road, but the Canaries may be compelled to act if their current slump continues.
