Following Anthony Martial’s announcement that he would be leaving Manchester United this summer, Bruno Fernandes and several other players have sent their best wishes to the player.

The French striker leaves Old Trafford after three years of injury problems that have plagued him until his contract expires next month. Due to illness and recuperation from groin surgery earlier this year, he hasn’t played since December 9. Sir Jim Ratcliffe hasn’t extended a contract offer to him.

Only 71 of Martial’s 317 appearances—90 goals and 47 assists—came in the last three of his nine seasons at United before he left. Despite missing out on United’s last three finals, he leaves Old Trafford having won the FA Cup, the Europa League, two League Cups, and a Community Shield.

Martial announced on Instagram that he would be leaving the club. “After nine amazing years at the club, it’s time for me to start a new chapter in my career,” he wrote.

“I want to sincerely thank all of the fans for everything you have done for me. I will always cherish the memories you gave me, the songs you sang, and your love for the club.

In addition, I would like to thank all of my teammates, the technical staff, and every club member I have encountered in my nine years here. Being able to share these experiences with you makes me proud.

“Manchester United will always be in my heart,” Martial continued. My career has been impacted by this club, which has also given me the amazing chance to perform in front of you. I’m leaving to pursue new opportunities, but I’ll always be a Red Devil and I’ll be fervently interested in the club’s performance.

Fernandes is among the United teammates who have left heartfelt comments in the space provided beneath his farewell post. Marcus Rashford, Christian Eriksen, and Aaron Wan-Bissaka are a few of them; they could all be traded this summer.

A string of hearts-emojis were sent by Harry Maguire, Anthony Elanga, Victor Lindelof, and Anthony Elanga, the former United winger who is currently playing for Nottingham Forest.

My man, Aaron Wan-Bissaka

Dear Christian Eriksen, best wishes. Anto

Marcus Rashford: We’ve shared so many memories. Brother, stay blessed.

Bruno Fernandez: I will miss our connection with you too.
