Man Utd stars want Amorim to make immediate change after secret player-only talks

There have been discussions among the players of Manchester United about a change in the strategies employed by Ruben Amorim. Additionally, a report has revealed what the manager’s likely response will be in the event that he is confronted with him.

The first twenty matches that Amorim has coached for Manchester United have resulted in nine victories, three draws, and eight defeats. At Old Trafford, there has been no “new manager bounce,” as evidenced by the fact that United has been eliminated from the League Cup and has been languishing in thirteenth place in the Premier League while Amorim has been in charge.

Nevertheless, the Portuguese player has not changed his strategy for the game, and he has continued to use his standard 3-4-2-1 formation from the very beginning of the match.

In addition, United did provide their manager with a specialised wing-back in the form of Patrick Dorgu a month ago in order to assist Amorim in getting the most out of that system.

However, a recent update from the Daily Mail provides evidence that certain members of Manchester United’s squad are not convinced by Amorim’s strategies.

It was stated in the report that “Confidential understands that some [Man United players] have discussed among themselves whether a change of plan that is better suited to their style of play may be the best way forward.”

Both Manchester United and Tottenham, who are also struggling, will be playing each other on Sunday. It is remarkable that both teams are focussing on avoiding relegation this season.

“United visit Tottenham on Sunday with both clubs uncomfortably close to the relegation zone,” and “there is growing concern among some players that the teething problems they have experienced under Amorim are not going to improve unless he considers at least tweaking the system.” This is the continuation of the article that was published in The Mail.

The report did not provide any specifics regarding the changes that the United stars would like to see adopted. On the other hand, it was made clear that Amorim is not open to change, and any requests for modifications to his strategy and/or approach to the game will be disregarded.

Following Amorim’s pledge to remain steadfast in his commitment to his philosophy at all costs, the Mail came to the conclusion that “changes are unlikely to occur anytime soon.”

In an interview that took place on the Gary Neville Podcast following United’s loss to Crystal Palace by a score of 2-0 the previous week, Neville voiced his opinion that the lack of early progress could lead to the team losing faith in Amorim.

Although he is confident that Manchester United will continue to employ the Portuguese manager, Neville has indicated that he still has some work to do in order to convince the players to accept his philosophy.

“When Ruben Amorim came in, I thought things would get better because of his enthusiasm and the new system. I thought the players would buy into it and we would see a bounce. However, we have seen the complete opposite, and things have gotten a lot worse over the past few months.

It should come as no surprise that United will continue to side with Amorim. However, the more losses you sustain, the more challenging it will be for the manager to persuade the players to accept his solution.
