Man Utd legend Sir Alex Ferguson set for shock return to dugout after ‘immediately’ accepting job offer

It has been asserted that the legendary manager of Manchester United, Sir Alex Ferguson, is in the process of making a surprise comeback to the dugout.

After United won one more Premier League title in 2013, Ferguson decided to retire from management. He had won thirteen Premier League titles with United.

After that, he decided to become an ambassador for the club in addition to serving as a non-executive director. However, United recently terminated a long-standing arrangement with their most successful manager that was worth £2.16 million. This decision was made due to cost-cutting measures implemented by Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS.

Ferguson made his return to the dugout a few years ago, in 2019, when Manchester United played a legends game against Bayern Munich at Old Trafford to commemorate the 20th anniversary of their historic treble victory in 1999. The game was played to mark the game’s 20th anniversary.

The Scottish player, on the other hand, seems to be heading back to the bench in the not too distant future. Although Giuseppe Rossi, a striker who had previously played for United, Villarreal, Fiorentina, and Italy, retired in 2023, he has made the decision to play a farewell game in Florence on March 22.

At the same time, the 38-year-old player asserts that Ferguson, who was the one who gave him his first senior appearance in 2004, will be present in a coaching capacity.

He was quoted as saying, “Ferguson will be there as a coach,” according to The Sun.

“When I was 17 years old, I signed with him as my first coach.

The fact that he accepted my offer so quickly demonstrates the kind of person he is. I had only worked with him for three years and played a small role during that time.

“I did little at United but he treats me like Cristiano Ronaldo, who has scored 1000 goals.”

Rossi made his first appearance for Manchester United in November 2004, when the club was competing against Crystal Palace in the League Cup. He went on to play for the Red Devils a total of thirteen times, scoring four goals during that time.

After playing on loan for Newcastle and Parma, he signed a permanent contract with Villarreal in 2007. During his time with the club, he made 192 appearances and scored 82 goals.

In spite of the fact that he suffered injuries throughout his career, he managed to score 19 goals in 42 matches for Fiorentina. He went on to play for Levante, Celta Vigo, Genoa, Real Salt Lake, and SPAL after that.

At the Stadio Franchi Stadium, the “last dance” of Rossi is scheduled to take place, and Gabriel Batistuta, Luca Toni, Antonio Cassano, Sebastien Frey, and Borja Valero are scheduled to be among the players who will be participating in the match.
