Kylian Mbappe’s Dramatic Change in Physique Spotted in Return to Real Madrid Training

Real Madrid’s Kylian Mbappe has returned to training after being hospitalised with acute gastroenteritis, which forced him to miss Los Blancos’ first two FIFA Club World Cup games, and his physique has changed dramatically as a result of his sickness.

Xabi Alonso has been without his top player, who scored 43 goals in his first season in Spain, for the start of the championship in the United States. Without them, they have four points from a 1-1 draw with Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal and a 3-1 victory over Pachuca.

The speedster, widely regarded as one of the best players in world football, may miss their third match, against RB Salzburg on Friday, in order to fully recover in the event that they advance to the competition’s final rounds.

Mbappe’s Drastic Physique Change Ahead of Return

Spanish reports claim he’s lost between four and five kilograms

Mbappe was diagnosed with acute gastroenteritis, which causes vomiting, diarrhoea, and abdominal discomfort, resulting in dehydration, just hours after arriving in Palm Beach with his Los Blancos teammates. His return is undoubtedly imminent, as evidenced by photographs of him back in the gym.

However, judging by the emerging images, his ordinarily muscular figure appears to be a little thinner as a result of the horrible illness-induced weight loss. According to Spanish source Marca (via the Daily Mail), the striker has shed between four and five kilogrammes.

Pictures of the France captain returning to full health have surfaced, and Paris-born Mbappe, 26, has also taken to Instagram to inform the Santiago Bernabeu faithful that he is back in the gym, preparing for his much anticipated return to the pitch. The photo was simply captioned “Back at it!”.

Keeping supporters guessing, Real Madrid issued a statement the day after their 1-1 draw with Al-Hilal to explain why the former Paris Saint-Germain talisman was missing. They verified that he had visited the hospital on Wednesday to be tested.

The Spanish behemoths also stated that he had returned to the squad camp. On Friday, it was reported that Mbappe was back in the hotel with his teammates and doing aerobic exercises after recovering from a severe episode of stomach sickness.

On Tuesday, Real Madrid manager Alonso, one of the world’s best young football managers, was evasive when asked about his top goalscorer’s health. According to The Athletic, the Spanish tactician kept his cards close to his breast, saying:

“Kylian felt slightly better in the morning, but not enough because it was too hot. We’ll wait for him until the final moment and make a decision tomorrow.”

Gonzalo Garcia, the French talisman’s replacement, has started both games so far, and the 21-year-old has impressed, scoring his team’s only goal in the opener. Against Pachuca, he also converted Arda Guler’s strike.
