Jurgen Klopp, the manager of Liverpool, has openly communicated with Gareth Southgate, discussing the situation of Joe Gomez, a defender for the Reds.
Gomez, who is 26 years old, was included in Liverpool’s starting eleven for the match against Manchester City on Sunday afternoon, which ended in a draw. Gomez was tasked with the duty of restraining Phil Foden, who has been doing really well, in the crucial match at the top of the standings.
During an interview with Sky Sports after the game, Klopp highlighted his confusion on the infrequent inclusion of his player in the England group.

In 2017, Southgate allowed Gomez to make his first appearance for the England national team during a friendly match against Germany, in which he played for a duration of 65 minutes. Subsequently, Gomez has accumulated 11 international appearances for the England national team, with his most recent game occurring against Wales in August 2020.
Prior to the start of their Euros campaign against Serbia in Germany, England has scheduled four friendly matches. Nevertheless, Southgate has only one remaining chance to make modifications to his squad.
