‘Here we go’ – £92m Premier League swoop confirmed after Newcastle United & Chelsea talks

Fulham’s Joao Palhinha will join Bayern Munich as they continue their Premier League shopping spree.
The 29-year-old has agreed to a four-year contract at Bayern for £42.26 million from Fulham.

Palhinha joined The Cottagers in 2022 after joining for £20 million from Sporting CP. In 79 appearances, he has scored eight goals.

In addition, Bayern Munich is expected to sign Michael Olise from Crystal Palace and Harry Kane and Eric Dier from Tottenham Hotspur, continuing a trend of Premier League imports.

Transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano claims that Palhinha has already finished his physical at Bayern, and an official announcement is anticipated.

Bayern Munich announced on Sunday that Olise had signed for £50 million from Palace, after other Premier League clubs had expressed a strong interest in the player. Last month, the player’s representatives were given permission to speak with Newcastle United, Chelsea, and Bayern, with the latter group being able to finalise a deal.

Olise, who has a contract with Bayern until 2029, departs Palace after making 90 appearances and scoring 16 goals, including 10 in 19 games in the 2023–24 season.
