Granit Xhaka labelled ‘a bit of a b****’ by Fulham star after fiery Nations League clash

After a fierce Nations League match between Denmark and Switzerland, Fulham defender Joachim Andersen called Granit Xhaka “a bit of a b***h.”

In Copenhagen, goals from Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Patrick Dorgu gave the Danes the win; Xhaka and teammate Nico Elvedi were sent off. The former Arsenal star received his first warning for his objections following Dorgu’s goal. With Breel Embolo out following a challenge, Switzerland feels that the ball ought to have been declared out of play.

The midfielder for Bayer Leverkusen received his marching orders after receiving his second yellow card in only five minutes. Due to a late foul on the former Spurs player Hojbjerg, the booking was received.

Andersen, who just moved from Crystal Palace to Fulham, was candid about his feelings towards his opponent. The former Lyon defender thinks Xhaka went too far.
As per Tipsbladet, Andersen is a great football player, but he’s also a bit of a b***h. We are aware of Granit’s tendency to occasionally lose his cool on the pitch.

That’s the reality. I think highly of him as a player, and you can lose your mind occasionally. He’s always been superb at maintaining composure, but today he seemed to lose his mind a little.”

The international for Denmark also defended his team’s choice to keep the ball in play. In his appraisal, Andersen was frank.
Andersen went on, “There’s no reason to kick the ball out.” “If there’s a head injury, you have to kick the ball out, but this wasn’t the case. If it had been the other way around, I’m certain they wouldn’t have booted the ball out either.”

Christian Eriksen, a midfielder for Manchester United, was substituted at Parken Stadium, and he saw the unpleasant happenings from the sidelines. The 32-year-old thought that the behaviour on the pitch had no place in football.

“I believe there was some dissatisfaction on the pitch,” Eriksen stated. “When you’re standing out there, things are a little different.

“Yet a lot of things happened, like a lot of late tackles and everything, that I don’t believe belong in football. Although I understand why it occurs, it was challenging to observe from the outside.”
