Manchester United

Gabriel Agbonlahor asserts Manchester United made a mistake by allowing their 27-year-old star to depart.

The ex-Aston Villa forward contends that Manchester United erred in permitting Sergio Reguilon’s departure in January.

The Red Devils have been significantly affected by injuries this season, notably in their defense section, with several key players spending a considerable amount of time in the physiotherapy room.

Erik ten Hag has been greatly concerned about the left-back position, since he has been compelled to deploy Victor Lindelof and Diogo Dalot in unfamiliar roles.

Both Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia are now sidelined due to injuries. However, Tyrell Malacia’s injury is more severe, as he is expected to be out for the entire season due to a recurring knee condition.

Notwithstanding concerns regarding the left-back situation, the club made the decision to terminate Reguilon’s loan and return him to Tottenham Hotspur in January. Subsequently, the Spaniard was transferred to Brentford until the conclusion of the season.
