When Chelsea visits Nottingham Forest in the Premier League on Saturday night, they will be back in action.

With three games remaining, the Blues are currently positioned seventh in the table and are fighting for European football under Mauricio Pochettino’s coaching staff. Their current standing would guarantee them a spot in the Europa Conference League for the following season, but their goal is to place in the top six, which will guarantee them a spot in the Europa League.

The Blues trail Tottenham Hotspur in fifth place by six points and Newcastle United in sixth place by two points. This coming weekend, they play a Forest team that is fighting to avoid relegation. The squad of Nuno Espirito Santo leads the bottom three by three points.

And Pochettino will have more options for the trip to the City Ground after disclosing that club captain Rreece James might be available at his pre-match press conference on Friday. Goalie Robert Sanchez has resumed partial team training, while midfielder Lesley Ugochukwu has returned to full team training.

“The most important thing is for him [James] to be there with us,” said Pochettino. “Having your captain with you at all times is a huge help. He is an incredible player, and we have a fantastic relationship.

“Having recovered from a long-term injury is not easy. He could play for five, ten, fifteen, twenty, or thirty minutes, which would be fantastic.””

The entire Chelsea roster that Pochettino will have to choose from to take on Forest is shown below.

Goalkeepers: Marcus Bettinelli, Djordje Petrovic

Defenders: Marc Cucurella, Axel Disasi, Alfie Gilchrist, Reece James, Levi Colwill, Trevoh Chalobah, Benoit Badiashile, Thiago Silva, and Malo Gusto
