FINALLY: Kieran McKenna snub Man Utd and Chelsea interest to pen new Ipswich deal

Kieran McKenna snub Man Utd and Chelsea interest to pen new Ipswich deal

Kieran McKenna has been linked with Man United

Kieran McKenna, the manager of Ipswich, has been linked to both Manchester United and Chelsea, but it appears he will disappoint his suitors by remaining at Portman Road.

Kieran McKenna, the manager of Ipswich, is about to turn down Chelsea and Manchester United by agreeing to a new deal.

The Northern Irishman has been associated with the Red Devils and Blues, but it appears that Leicester manager Enzo Maresca will be appointed by the Stamford Bridge hierarchy. Brighton was considering him as Roberto De Zerbi’s successor, and United had reached out to him as a possible Erik ten Hag replacement.

McKenna has now taken the audacious choice to remain with Ipswich. He is expected to sign a new long-term contract in Suffolk, according to multiple reports.

The largest contract in the history of the team was reportedly on the table for McKenna, courtesy of the Tractor Boys. He would make about £5 million a year, which is about four times what he currently makes from banking.

By adding a £4 million release clause to McKenna’s contract last year, Ipswich attempted to retain him as well. It appears that he will be the team’s manager for the first Premier League season since the 2001–02 season.

Brighton as well as United will be devastated by the news. The Seagulls will now have to search elsewhere in order to select a new manager in time for the upcoming campaign. Now, Sir Jim Ratcliffe must decide what will happen to Ten Hag.

It was reported that the Dutchman was going to lose his job regardless of the FA Cup final outcome. With a 2-1 victory over Man City, the Red Devils overcame all odds to win the trophy.

He had previously made indications that he had spoken with Ratcliffe, even though he remained silent about his position following the final whistle at Wembley. They expressed their desire to rebuild WITH me and to make all the changes necessary. They told me straight this, he told the Dutch publication Vi.NL.

“INEOS will alter club operations, and some projects have already commenced.” Carrington will be totally demolished, and a new training area will be built.

“We must add a striker to our roster in the summer. And everything will look good again if we can sign a replacement for Varane as well as another central midfield player. We can try to aim for the top four once more if the team stays healthy.
