EPL: A new injury blow for Arsenal before their matchup with Tottenham

A new injury setback has befallen Arsenal ahead of their September 15 Premier League matchup with Tottenham Hotspur.

This comes after Martin Odegaard’s fitness was questioned by Norway’s head coach Stale Solbakken, who disclosed that the captain of Arsenal had sustained another injury while playing for his country.

Last Saturday at Emirates Stadium, during Arsenal’s 1-1 draw with Brighton, Odegaard took a knock to the ankle.

In the 73rd minute, Gabriel Martinelli was brought in to replace the midfield player.

Ultimately, Odegaard went with the rest of the Norwegian team for their Nations League debut against Kazakhstan; however, there are now some questions over whether or not he will play in the match.

When asked if Odegaard was still dealing with an injury from the Brighton game, Solbakken told reporters, “I don’t think that [the Brighton knock] is what it is.”

“I was about to say, I guess it’s another boom.

“I believe it is, in a sense, something other than the bang.”
