At the conclusion of the FA Cup final, Henderson and Guardiola got into a heated argument.
Following Crystal Palace’s 1-0 victory against Manchester City in the FA Cup final, Dean Henderson has stated what he told an irate Pep Guardiola.
At Wembley, Palace won their first major title thanks to a goal from Eberechi Eze in the first half.
Before the half, Henderson made several crucial stops, including stopping a penalty attempt from Omar Marmoush.
However, City believed that the Palace goalie ought to have been sent off after squandering a clear chance to score just minutes before the penalty.
Henderson pushed the ball away from the charging Erling Haaland by handling it beyond the box.
However, VAR determined that a defender was in line with the Norwegian striker and that Haaland would have taken the ball too far from the goal.
Guardiola seemed to mouth the words “it’s not fair” to the Palace and England goalie after the game and declined to shake Henderson’s hand.
However, additional video revealed the remarks made by Henderson and Guardiola that sparked the heated argument.
“You’ve got your ten minutes,” the goalie declares. “Ten minutes, huh?”

Henderson later stated in an interview with Gabriel Clarke of ITV that Guardiola reprimanded Palace for what he saw as time-wasting in the second half, even though referee Stuart Attwell added ten minutes of extra time.
Henderson remarked: “I went to shake his hand, but it’s clear that he was upset about the waste of time.
“You got the ten minutes you wanted,” I said. However, there isn’t any animosity.
It’s amazing. Like us, they [the Palace supporters] will never forget this.
Guardiola praised his players’ performances at Wembley but has not yet responded to the exchange.
“We played much better than when we won 5-2 [versus Palace in April],” he said. “And much, much better than last season in the [FA Cup] final against United [which City lost 2-1].”
